42s all right well first thing I'm gonna ask
44s is something I've seen come up uh a lot
47s since we posted um our last Dev update
50s which is um why are you not adding any
52s content until May yeah I've seen this
55s question a lot um maybe I misspoke last
58s time but it's not that we're not doing
60s we're not doing any content between now
62s and may may is when the big update's
63s going to come um we actually have some
66s content coming out we have a PTR that
68s went live today which I'll tell you when
69s we film this which is the group finder
71s I'm super excited for that um that has
75s the potential to really change the PVE
78s experience um we have a 10-person trial
81s coming we've got some new artifacts
83s coming we have the whole update to the
85s um main story Quest coming which comes
87s with two solo trials we have the Year of
90s the Dragon coming and then all of our
93s other events are going to get some
94s reward passes so so I think it's I don't
96s think it's fair to say there's no
97s content um seems like quite a bit to me
100s and I'm pretty excited to get that out

107s Amazon do something about aim hack and
109s lock Target hack tool that's being sold
112s for $50 to $100 per month since relief
116s since release I've not seen any site
118s Forum being shut down nor any
120s announcements about people getting
121s banned for using it um yeah so I can I
125s can answer this one um generally I don't
127s think we're in the business of like
129s pursuing litigation against like third
131s party sites and stuff so like in terms
132s of shutting down other people's websites
134s and stuff that's not something we're
136s really focused on we're focused on our
138s game and what we can do uh in it so uh
142s it's not that we're doing nothing we
144s actually have a lot of people working on
145s this problem all the time um internally
149s we have a lot of telemetry and things
150s that we uh are using to detect uh
154s aimbots uh in addition we work with uh
157s easy anti cheet and our partners over
159s there um on identifying these types of
162s cheat tools uh and uh issuing like
165s Hardware bands and things for players
167s that that we detect have them um it's
170s sort of a cat and mouse game always with
172s with uh these kinds of tools because we
175s have detection mechanisms and then they
176s find a way around them and then we need
178s to update and it goes back and forth so
181s um you know we are Banning accounts uh
185s we you know are successful in finding uh
190s some of these player accounts uh and
193s helping Easy antiche by giving Telemetry
195s about those players um so that they can
198s more easily detect other players doing
200s the same thing in in the past we've
202s announced big band waves when we've done
204s that but we don't announce every ban and
205s every time we ban small groups of people
207s it's it would just
209s be like
210s it's going to get to the point who cares
212s you banned another 20 people you caught
213s these 15 so it's happening we take it
216s serious I know Scott and the team are
218s all over it but it's it's just not
219s something we feel like we need to update
221s on a micro basis right and and the other
223s thing I was going to say was um with
225s these band waves too like we don't
227s immediately ban accounts usually as soon
230s as we detect something because we
231s generally want to like confirm things
233s and let it sit for a little bit before
235s we isue a big bandwave so we can get
237s more accounts uh than just a couple
239s because it's just the back and forth is
241s just too much you know it's a lot are
243s you going to counter the Staggering
245s imbalance of factions in open world
247s during influence races one faction uh on
250s my server greens simply have easy uh
254s more players than other factions so it's
256s 3 v30 fights on Towers teleporting
259s mechanic is not working at all for the
261s balance so please do not even try to
264s justify current situation with
267s it sorry I will not try to justify
271s uh I think there are sometimes some
273s imbalances in factions I think when we
276s look at the data it's generally not very
278s es skew right like so there can be some
280s differences but I don't think there's
281s cases in which you know one faction has
284s 10 to 20 times uh the other factions how
287s many people show up to an individual
289s race is much harder to control than
291s overall faction balance uh on my server
294s you know uh more people in a faction I'm
297s in have started showing up for races but
298s we didn't in a while ago and and I think
300s that there's es and flows there that
302s will happen over time uh currently
304s there's no plan other than the maximum
306s cap to adjust for this and I think this
309s is you know a case where I think you
312s know hopefully people find the influence
314s races rewarding and fun and you can sort
317s of gather up more people on the the
319s factions that are weaker uh there are
321s overlying mechanics to try to help
324s balance out the factions at a macro
325s level uh we're going to continue to
327s support those like you know you can only
330s transfer out of the ma of out of the
332s most dominant faction things like that
334s uh and that's sort of our Crim yeah I I
337s don't know how we solve for the case
338s that this person's complaining about
339s because if only three of their factions
341s showed up we're not going to limit the
342s other faction to three because then you
343s could game the system by putting your
345s best player like it's a hard problem um
348s I think I think you nailed it though the
350s key is the onus on us is to make the
352s rewards good enough and enticing enough
354s to draw more players in to make it
356s something that you you really want to
358s partake in yeah and it's definitely not
360s just a pure numbers game right the
362s quality and the communication and
363s coordination within groups is a huge
365s like multiplier on how effective uh like
367s a smaller group could be any plans on
369s reworking reward systems to encourage
371s replayability Loot biasing and rework of
374s perks did a pretty good job acquiring
376s gear that feels useful that said it
379s sucks content like 10 men and 20 men
381s trials are again abandoned with 625 gear
383s score rewards that already have fixed
385s Medi mediocre perks fixed name perks are
389s subjective to to people whether they are
391s good or not but the gear that comes with
392s two perers and RNG third perk and a
395s random gear score gives us a little bit
397s of
398s control uh in general yes we are aware
401s that you know some of our content does
404s not have updated rewards uh we are going
406s to be looking into that we don't have
408s explicit timelines yet but it is on our
410s our radar and we want it to happen I
412s think you know that is fun content the
414s sandworm uh I do it just for the dark
416s matter I'm sure a lot of a lot of other
418s people do it for that so if your company
419s does it or is it capable it's a good
421s source of Dark Matter uh but I agree
424s that the actual uh gear rewards for that
427s content and especially the Hatchery just
428s is not up to par is not where it needs
430s to be we're aware of it it's on our on
432s our radar uh and will be coming in the
435s future all right uh I think you should
437s expand on named gear that have two
439s perers and random third or Kiln it's a
442s very good approach to chasing our own
444s ideal Gear with moderate control but
445s still needs decent time sync and
447s resources and gives every place a unique
449s purpose
450s for example water- legged earring from
452s Barnacles mutated gives two bis slots
455s which are fortifying toast and
457s refreshing toast and then encourage
458s either to do uh M2 M3 to RNG their third
462s perk which encouraged replayability this
464s should be used everywhere else too
466s between Dungeons and raids
468s especially uh agree we love this pattern
471s and I think you'll see that in the
473s expansion most of our named gear
475s followed this pattern and I think it's
476s something we're going to continue to do
478s so uh we agree we love this pattern I do
482s think you know for some pieces we'd like
483s having the prescriptive three we you
486s know we don't want to like box ourselves
488s into only one solution uh but this is
490s something that I've Loved uh for a long
492s time I think like uh the person who
494s asked the question what I like about it
496s is you know you can keep doing it and
499s trying to get that third perk or
501s nowadays you can spend the resources and
503s manually upgrade it yourself so that
504s option is I think a great great choice
507s for players all right the main story
510s Quest has been randomly bugged from many
512s players unable to progress through it at
514s some point for many months in a row now
516s it has been reported so many times but
518s no ETA and nothing in sight in the patch
521s notes very frustrating for any new
523s player New World why is it not a
525s priority it's a massive PRI excuse me
528s it's a massive priority um and we fixed
531s many of the issues I would love to get
534s specifics on which ones people are still
536s running into um because we're hearing I
539s I keep hearing repeatedly hey it's
541s bugged and I'm stuck but I'm not getting
542s specifics and I want to be able to go
544s back to the team with that I've looked
545s on a lot of the threads I'm not seeing
547s it so if you could reply to this thread
549s so we could see it on Reddit somewhere
552s um we'll find it and then we'll try to
553s fix it as fast as possible yeah we're
555s just just to add on to that we're having
557s trouble reproducing the issues right
559s like because there's so many different
560s states a player could have been in like
562s did they play six months ago 12 months
564s ago and they're coming back which
565s achievements uh we use uh the various
568s steps and quests we use like an achiev
570s and backlog to track where you are and
571s it's just hard there's so many
573s permutations uh that we're not able to
575s sort of reproduce these and and I think
577s like Scott said we put out a lot of fast
579s patches in season four to sort of try to
581s fix these issues we know they're super
583s important we we love the msq we want
585s players to be able to do it uh but we
587s just need a little more information to
588s help us track it down and then we'll fix
590s them and there's there's at least one
591s more of those fixes coming out uh in the
593s next minor patch awesome speaking of
595s bugs uh the bug with boltcaster
597s elemental damage conversion for PVP was
600s known to YouTubers since it came
602s available uh posts uh were also made on
604s Discord why did it take until another
606s buff arranged on PVE to notice it and
609s react with turning off the conversion
610s and magnify can we expect the delayed
613s content from season 4 to be free of
615s gamebreaking bugs for example
617s unfinishable trial boss uh I do think
620s our response to this one is a little bit
622s slow actually I know Scott was bugging
624s me about it over the holiday break a
626s little bit I think a part of this not to
628s put blame on it you know the holiday
630s break it slowed our iteration down a
631s little bit uh and then second you know
634s turning off a a new artifact is a big
637s deal it's something we don't like to do
639s uh and we thought maybe we could get
641s away without having to do that but I
643s think with the additional change to the
645s PVE PVP balance it became clear with
648s this additional like it's just not going
649s to work so uh you know it's it's a it's
652s unfortunately it's a failure on our team
653s to have to turn off an artifact and in
655s this case we had to uh we're sorry we
658s had to do that and ECT we probably
660s should have done a little sooner uh the
661s good news is uh a fix is coming out on
664s the the mid January update uh that will
667s allow us to fix this and turn back on
669s this artifact and you should be able to
671s count on new content coming out without
674s bugs and it's U something we're we're
676s working on all right quality of life and
678s balancing get your anti-che working
681s there are multiple videos on YouTube of
683s known hackers and opr they have been
686s reported and everyone in each World
687s server knows about them how are you not
690s Banning them why is that not a priority
692s edit and no your data does not show that
694s there are no hackers there are hackers
696s if you played the game you would know
698s that yes so we definitely know that
701s there are hackers you know we are
702s detecting them we are Banning them uh as
705s we detect them like I said before um
708s there have been some situations I was
710s talking to the security team today about
712s this um there have been some situations
714s where we you know provide that data to
716s to easy an cheet and they come back and
718s they say you know there's no evidence of
721s of uh hacking on this particular account
723s um so you know it's not every single
726s case uh but like I said you know we have
729s people on the problem working on it all
731s the time it's a hard problem yeah like
734s you know there there's you're always
737s playing catchup when it comes to hackers
739s you're always one one step behind trying
740s to you know fix the problem and block it
742s but then they find a new way and I mean
743s it's it's it's not easy we're we're
746s applying a lot of resources toward this
748s yeah and they are too CU it's you know
750s their full-time job you know with the
753s addition of gold SNS such as aoth
755s inductors or chromatic seals and high
757s material cost for three perk items is
760s there any chance that respecing the
761s character won't take gold anymore but
763s instead a off as things stand now
766s especially newer players really suffer
768s from having to Respec is they don't have
770s their ideal build builds
773s yet yeah is this me or you well okay I
776s was so we we talk about this a lot um
780s you know as a player I really really
782s want to not have to spend the money
784s because it gets in the way but what
786s we're wrestling with is it's our third
787s biggest sync in the game right it's uh I
790s think 12% of our coin sync is this is uh
793s the reeing so we're trying to weigh you
796s know what's what's a better experience
798s for the players this or the potential
799s inflation that causes and it's something
801s we'll we'll make a decision on here in
803s the next few weeks and we'll move
804s forward but
805s I it's not just a slam dunk yeah we
808s don't like it get rid of it it's more of
809s a let's make sure we understand the
811s downstream impact before we make a
813s decision on something like this because
815s uh I think it warrants a little more
817s thought quality of life uh is there
820s plans to add more than two mutators per
823s cycle yes there is and in fact a yes
826s answer yes yes uh in fact as we
829s introduce uh the new pickup group finder
832s uh we are going to increase the number I
835s think this allows people to get in
836s easier uh cross World matchmaking so
839s it's seemed like the right time to do it
840s so uh expect when this goes Fully live
844s that we will go to three
846s mutations pretty excited about that me
848s too and I think that will be great for
851s people CH chasing artifacts or wanting
853s to upgrade them it'll just be easier to
854s get into those uh Expeditions yeah
857s exactly getting through your your kills
860s okay awesome and uh another bug question
864s any updates on the bug where players
866s cannot see their objectives when
868s pressing J it seems a bugged event Quest
870s seems to be the
872s culprit um yeah and uh that's a good
875s call uh it it that was the culprit uh I
878s think it was due to one of the summer uh
880s medle Fair event quests maybe more than
883s one uh but there is a fix for that
885s internally and it should be out by the
887s end of the month in one of the next
888s minor patches all right uh those are all
890s the questions we are taking for today
