@MoldyGecko While the Alpha test is and has always been closed and populated by random selection invitation only, the Beta test is open to everyone who has pre-ordered the game just as the Preview event was before.

@MoldyGecko We launched an Alpha Test in October and it has been live since then with regular waves of invites. We are maintaining a relatively small tester group to focus as many resources as possible on development over live services.

@dez1nd @Jonny2k10 We will be sending an invite wave out to help populate the EU Alpha Test server with the tester group we need. We don't yet have the exact date on when the invites will be sent, but it is likely the invites will be sent March 30th.
@MoldyGecko Pre-ordering grants guaranteed access to Closed Beta, not Alpha Testing. No Closed Beta has happened for New World yet, that starts July 20. We did a Preview event to give Pre-order customers the chance to play and provide feedback before we continued development.
@MoldyGecko Periodic Preview events would have a huge negative impact on our ability to develop the game, stopping dev work to stand up Preview builds and run live services at scale with hundreds of thousands of players, rather than our Alpha which just has hundreds of players.
