s | enjoying a lot of different life skills |
s | and of course there is a whole lot of |
s | PVE to take part in this just scratches |
s | the surface of what there is to enjoy a |
s | new world aternum but for this video |
s | we'll be focusing on the PVE aspects of |
s | the game whenever you wash up on the |
s | shores of etum you're going to be able |
s | to experience a ton of fun and engaging |
s | PVE content that ranges from open world |
s | encounters PVE trials Expeditions |
s | mutated Expeditions and a whole lot more |
s | but before we dive too deep into the PVE |
s | specifics I would like to first thank |
s | Amazon games for sponsoring this video a |
s | tournament is a very mysterious island |
s | with a lot lot of different creatures |
s | living there and whenever you wash up on |
s | the shores you're going to encounter a |
s | ton of different enemy types these |
s | enemies are broken down into several |
s | different groups that include the lost |
s | the corrupted the angry Earth the |
s | varangians the beasts and the Ancients |
s | within each of these enemy groups |
s | there's a large variety of different |
s | enemy types that you're going to |
s | encounter each with their own unique |
s | abilities and attacks as you encounter |
s | these enemies more and more you're going |
s | to begin to learn their attack patterns |
s | and their movement Style this going to |
s | help you dodge block and attack when |
s | necessary so that you can have a much |
s | easier time defeating these enemies |
s | what's also unique about each enemy |
s | group is that they all have different |
s | weaknesses this means that you can |
s | properly prepare your load out when |
s | you're encountering different types of |
s | enemies in the game this is going to be |
s | very useful when you begin to do the |
s | harder content in the game like |
s | Expeditions and then of course their |
s | mutated versions Expeditions are |
s | essentially instanced dungeons in a new |
s | world of tum these are meant for a group |
s | of five players to explore and combat |
s | their way through challenging encounters |
s | that include puzzles named enemies and |
s | bosses with Unique Mechanics the named |
s | enemies within each Expedition feature |
s | Buffs health and damage increases the |
s | bosses that you're going to encounter |
s | take place within a locked arena in the |
s | Expedition and each boss for every |
s | single Expedition has their own set of |
s | Unique Mechanics players are going to |
s | need to learn these mechanics and then |
s | work together in order to complete the |
s | expedition of course whenever you |
s | complete the Expedition you are going to |
s | be rewarded with some special ized |
s | rewards there's currently 13 different |
s | Expeditions in the game each with their |
s | own Unique Mechanics and rewards you're |
s | going to encounter some of them early on |
s | in your adventures and some much later |
s | however the early game Expeditions |
s | remain relevant in the endgame due to |
s | the mutation feature that new world of |
s | tum has each expedition in the game |
s | contains a particular enemy group or |
s | groups for example The Garden of Genesis |
s | is filled with angry Earth enemies |
s | Barnacles and black powder is filled |
s | with the lost and Tempest heart is |
s | filled with corrupted enemies this means |
s | if you find yourself in an expedition |
s | filled with angry Earth enemies like the |
s | garden of Genesis you want to consider |
s | utilizing weapons and damage types that |
s | the angry Earth are weak to a quick |
s | rundown of the enemy weaknesses in the |
s | game are as follows ancients are weak to |
s | strike void and lightning damage |
s | corrupted are weak to thrust nature and |
s | Arcane angry Earth are weak to slash and |
s | Fire the Lost are weak to strike ice and |
s | nature varangians are weak to slash and |
s | beasts are we to thrust damage so |
s | knowing this information is going to |
s | help you increase your damage output and |
s | plan accordingly for each Expedition |
s | that you run you can easily view the |
s | type of damage a particular weapon does |
s | by opening your weapon Mastery menu and |
s | hovering over a particular weapon for |
s | example the sword deals slash damage the |
s | spear deals thrust damage the hammer |
s | deals strike damage and so on each |
s | weapon also scales off of a particular |
s | attribute or set of attributes it's |
s | incredibly important that you invest |
s | your points into the correct attributes |
s | doing so will increase the amount of |
s | damage you deal by a very significant |
s | amount if you invest in the wrong |
s | attributes then your damage will be very |
s | low however don't worry if you make a |
s | mistake or want to switch weapons |
s | because you can always respect your |
s | attribute points whenever you want you |
s | can see which weapon scales off of which |
s | attribute by clicking on a particular |
s | weapon in your weapon Mastery menu you |
s | can further enhance your build for PVE |
s | with the use of gems there are gems that |
s | you can obtain and Slot into your |
s | weapons and armor that will have |
s | different effects based on the gy you |
s | use some gems will convert a percentage |
s | of your damage dealt into Elemental type |
s | damage for example you could slot a ruby |
s | into your weapon and gain the ignited |
s | effect this would convert 50% of your |
s | damage dealt with your weapon into fire |
s | damage there are also gems such as a |
s | Carnelian gem that are very rooll |
s | specific if you're planning on being the |
s | tank for your group you will need to |
s | slot these gems into your weapons in |
s | order to activate your taunting |
s | abilities this will then generate more |
s | threat from the enemies you're fighting |
s | helping you maintain aggro as the tank |
s | however carnelians also have an |
s | alternative use outside of the tank role |
s | you can slot these gems into your armor |
s | to reduce the generation of threat this |
s | will make it less likely that the |
s | enemies within the Expedition will |
s | attack you which will allow their aggro |
s | to remain on the tank in addition to the |
s | types of damage you're going to deal |
s | there are also other considerations to |
s | make whenever you're putting together a |
s | PVE build or coordinating with your |
s | group for build synergies for example |
s | there are debuffs that you'll want to |
s | apply to your target no matter what |
s | their vulnerabilities are two of the |
s | main debuffs you'll want to apply in PVE |
s | are called Ren and weaken Ren reduces |
s | the damage absorption of your target |
s | making them a whole lot easier to take |
s | down and weaken reduces the attack |
s | damage of your target which will greatly |
s | increase yours and your group |
s | survivability because the enemy will be |
s | dealing much less damage whenever they |
s | are weakened there are different weapons |
s | that excel at applying different debuffs |
s | the spear is an excellent choice for PVE |
s | and something you will definitely want |
s | want to have in your group because the |
s | spear applies both Ren and weaken with |
s | its abilities and it can dish out a good |
s | amount of damage there are other options |
s | as well and other weapons that are super |
s | valuable to your group the great Axe for |
s | example excels at grouping enemies |
s | together with its ability called gravity |
s | well this can be a huge benefit when |
s | you're engaging in PVE activities and |
s | grouping enemies together makes it much |
s | easier for you and your group to quickly |
s | take them down all of these are things |
s | to consider whenever you're putting |
s | together a PVE build once you have your |
s | found foundations of a build together |
s | and you progress into the endgame you're |
s | going to want to start doing the mutated |
s | versions of the Expeditions for much |
s | better loot mutated versions of the |
s | Expeditions are much more difficult |
s | endgame versions of their normal |
s | counterparts mutations scale up the |
s | level of the enemies for the ingame and |
s | they add mutations that increase the |
s | difficulty there are three mutated |
s | Expeditions at a time and the |
s | Expeditions that are mutated rotate |
s | every week there are three difficulty |
s | levels of mutations and level one is the |
s | easiest with level three being the |
s | hardest version of the mutated |
s | Expeditions difficulty one mutations |
s | include a set of Elemental mutations |
s | difficulty level two includes what's |
s | called promotions that further enhances |
s | the difficulty level and level three |
s | mutations add curses on top of the |
s | elemental mutations and promotions for |
s | example an elemental mutation could be |
s | what's called Eternal when an expedition |
s | has this particular mutation there would |
s | be a chance of the enemies having the |
s | following perks on death enemies cast a |
s | spell graning other enemies void |
s | empowerment enemies can apply leech on |
s | hit this would deal 20% base void damage |
s | and heal the enemy enemies would also |
s | apply building stacks of paranoia |
s | whenever they get hit and then at four |
s | Stacks a void burst would appear to |
s | location that would deal AOE void damage |
s | and then all of the enemies would deal |
s | 50% of their damage as void damage on |
s | top of the elemental mutation a level |
s | two mutation would also include a |
s | promotion for example an expedition |
s | could have the barbaric promotion that |
s | could enhance the enemies with the |
s | following Buffs whenever you get hit |
s | enemies generate Fury that would |
s | increase their damage dealt or enemies |
s | foro the reduced stamina damage in |
s | Expeditions and deal increased stamina |
s | damage also upon breaking your block |
s | they would apply a bleed then further |
s | enhancing the difficulty of a mutation |
s | level three the Expedition could have |
s | the previous two mutations as well as a |
s | curse for example an expedition could |
s | have the frenzy curse that applies the |
s | following effects every time you dodge |
s | you would be inflicted with void damage |
s | over time this is called unstable this |
s | effect can stack up to three times and |
s | it cannot be cleansed by player |
s | abilities if the unstable effect expires |
s | with three stacks active it will then |
s | drop an AOE on the ground and any player |
s | inside of this will take damage over |
s | time and if you enter the effect with |
s | stacks of unstable it's going to consume |
s | all of those stacks and then deal damage |
s | of 30% of your max HP so you can see how |
s | these mutations definitely begin begin |
s | to enhance the difficulty of all of the |
s | Expeditions in a new world of tum but |
s | the mutation effects are not always the |
s | same there are various Elemental |
s | mutations promotions and curses so in |
s | order to complete these mutations you're |
s | going to need to properly be geared and |
s | prepared this means you want to take |
s | into consideration the type of Elemental |
s | promotion and curse the Expedition has |
s | as well as weaknesses of enemies debuffs |
s | are going to want to apply and you'll |
s | want to not only slot the appropriate |
s | gems for damage but also the appropriate |
s | gems to mitigate the Elemental damage of |
s | the mutation for example slotting Amber |
s | gems into your armor will give you |
s | increased nature damage absorption this |
s | is going to greatly increase your |
s | survivability in a mutation that has a |
s | nature damage modifier the bosses and |
s | mutated Expeditions are much harder as |
s | well on top of you needing to know all |
s | of the mechanics these bosses have a |
s | resistance to your Rend and weakens |
s | making them less effective due to all of |
s | these challenges taking every Advantage |
s | you can in order to increase your damage |
s | and survivability are key so those are |
s | mutations in a nutshell they're a very |
s | engaging PVE activity that you're going |
s | to need to be prepared for in order to |
s | be successful but if Expeditions and |
s | their more difficult counterparts |
s | mutations are not for you don't worry |
s | because there's also a ton of open world |
s | PVE activities to enjoy there are tons |
s | of engaging points of interest located |
s | around a tum and each of these have a |
s | unique setting with different enemies |
s | within there's also plenty of |
s | challenging open world named enemies and |
s | bosses to defeat you can choose to take |
s | these on Solo or put together a large |
s | group for these encounters you can visit |
s | places like merard and Shattered |
s | Mountain Isle of zervan in Elian Wilds |
s | or castrum principum in Brimstone Sands |
s | for challenging Elite enemies or you can |
s | visit the non- elite areas for less of a |
s | challenge and still gain some pretty |
s | good loot also as you make your way |
s | through the main quest line in New World |
s | aternum you're going to encounter some |
s | soul trials these are unique and |
s | engaging boss fights you're going to |
s | need to defeat these Soul trials in |
s | order to progress the story each of |
s | these Soul trials have Unique Mechanics |
s | with varying enemy types if you find |
s | yourself struggling to defeat one of |
s | these bosses make sure your attributes |
s | are correctly assigned you want to |
s | consider equipping a weapon that deals |
s | damage that that particular boss is weak |
s | to and you can go beef up your equipment |
s | with gems or just simply level up your |
s | character to obtain higher gear score |
s | gear and then come back whenever you're |
s | a little bit stronger along with all of |
s | the normal PVE activities the game has |
s | to offer there's also plenty of seasonal |
s | events that happen throughout the year |
s | introduce new bosses with these events |
s | for example during the nightville hollow |
s | event you'll be able to hunt down a very |
s | large world boss named balazo balazo has |
s | a ton of health and Unique Mechanics |
s | these types of encounters are very group |
s | oriented and you will see a ton of |
s | players participating in these events |
s | you simply need to run to the boss spawn |
s | to participate in the encounter you'll |
s | be able to take down the world boss |
s | multiple times during the event and earn |
s | some great Loot and there's several of |
s | these events scattered throughout the |
s | year no matter the type of PVE player |
s | you are whether that be solo more of an |
s | Explorer an adventurer or a hardcore Min |
s | maxer there's going to be a PVE activity |
s | that will suit your needs in new world |
s | eternum that's going to do it for this |
s | one thank you guys for watching we will |
s | see you in eternum |
