Originally posted by Kicks: I accepted the "mystery mission" at the Nexus. When I got to the system, it turned out to be the rescue mission where I need to find a working part to fix the spaceship. I swore I'd never do this kind of mission again, but I was weak and went ahead anyway. After finding over 25 broken devices, I finally gave up and abandoned the mission. I wish they would add some more mission types.

Hi Kicks, the % chance of that going wrong in that way according to us SHOULD be way below 1% :)

Can you tell me what part you were asked to look for? If you could write up exactly what you did and what the missions asked for and what happened along the way, that would be great.

May give us some ideas of where to look.

Thanks

Originally posted by Kicks: Hi HG_WhiskeyJack. I can't tell you exact details, but it was the mission where you meet the guy with the broken ship, and you go out and dig up a part. Once you dig it up, the defective sentinals appear, and you shoot them down. Then, you go into your inventory and activate the part. When successful, it will tell you to go to a terminal to decode it (or something like that). When it's not successful, it tells you it's defective, so you go and find another one. I kept getting defective ones. I don't have an exact count, but it was in the low twenties. This happens a lot in these missions. I usually give up at around 15, but yesterday I just kept going. Sometimes on a mission you'll find a good part only after a few tries, but most of the time, at least for me, it goes beyond my threshold of patience and I end the mission. Yesterday the mission appeared in the Nexus as a "mystery mission" at approximately 3pm EST or so.

Thanks for getting back to me Kicks, I will have a look ^^
