Hello!

No Man’s Sky is a game that we all genuinely truly love. Last year we released Worlds Part I[www.nomanssky.com] and I remember thinking at the time that this is just the beginning. We can’t wait to show people what we’ve been working on! There’s new solar systems, new planets with more variety, new terrain types, even new Gas Giants, and of course new adventures. Our next update is called Worlds Part II. Full patch notes are available ... Read more

Hello!

As part of our season of 2024 Expedition Reduxes, the Aquarius[www.nomanssky.com] Expedition goes live today. It will run for two weeks until 22nd January.

Back in September 2024, we launched the Aquarius update, and with it introduced fishing to No Man's Sky, partly because it's just a fun thing to do alone or with friends, but mostly to show off the new water effects which the ... Read more

Hello Everyone!

The first of 2024’s holiday expeditions has just come to an end: the redux of Omega[www.nomanssky.com]. We’ve loved reading everyone’s expedition anecdotes and positive feedback, and seeing the incredible popularity of the Starborn Runner starship. However, if you missed this opportunity to claim the Starborn Runner (or if you just can’t get enough of its hovership design) we have some very good news…

Today, in association with The Game Awards 2024 and to celebrate our Best Community Support nomination, we are excited to reveal the Starborn Phoenix, a limited edition golden st... Read more

Hello Folks!

Last night we finally did it! After eight years, we crossed the 80% positive review threshold on Steam to earn a "Very Positive" badge on "ALL REVIEWS". Honestly, I didn't think we'd ever do this, and it's all thanks to you all in the community. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We have nearly quarter of a million reviews, so mathematically it's pretty hard to change the % that are positive! For every 10,000 players, maybe 100 review the game. If 80% of those reviews are positive, the first 79 don't change our %, only that 80th person makes a difference! Ten thousands players, resulting in a single extra positive, dropped into an ocean of quarter of a million existing reviews! It gets geometrically harder the higher you climb too - so moving from 70% to 71% took us a month, but moving from 79% to 80% took nearly a year! We figured it might never happen - but it has and it genuinely means so much to us.

This year has been particularly busy for our ... Read more

Hello Everyone!

Our last update saw players enjoying a nice chilled time, fishing in No Man's Sky. Our next update couldn't be more different! As we approach Halloween, we are embracing the spookier side of the No Man's Sky Universe, drawing upon threads first established way back in Atlas Rises[www.nomanssky.com], when ancient portals began to open and the boundaries between realities first began to crumble…

Our next update is called Worlds Part I, and I’m so proud of the team here, the love they are putting into it. We are refreshing the universe with new technology, new flora, new fauna and new gameplay.

Hello!

A lot has changed in the years since No Man’s Sky released. There’s so much we love about the game now, but there was something unique at release in how alone you felt in the universe. Going further back I have great memories of early unreleased versions of No Man’s Sky where there were no NPCs, no shops, no help… just you the player as a tiny dot lost in the infinite.

For our next update we wanted to allow players to experience an alternative universe. We are calling it ADRIFT[www.nomanssky.com], and for the first time players can be truly alone in No Man’s Sky. We think i... Read more

Hello,

Ten years ago we revealed No Man’s Sky to the world, and we feel very lucky to have the opportunity to continue to update this game we love. Next year will be one of our biggest for No Man’s Sky, and we released a video to celebrate at the end of the TGAs, with a small tease of some of the elements coming next year.

Next year will be a big one for No Man’s Sky with a lot of updates. It’s been over ten years and we still love working on it.

What people don’t know though is that for five of those years we’ve been working on something different and maybe even more ambitious.

With No Man’s Sky we created a universe of sparse alien planets, which isn’t easy, but there’s something much harder.

For our new game we have created an earth. A planet as varied as a universe, bigger than e... Read more

Hello Everyone!

Another busy year for No Man’s Sky is drawing to a close, and this holiday season we are pleased to revisit our tradition of running remixed editions of this year’s expeditions.

Across the following dates, 2023’s community expeditions will be available once more, taking place in new sections of the universe, offering explorers another opportunity to experience these stories and events and earn exclusive rewards.

In addition to the 2023 expeditions, we are also bringing back a limited run of the community favourite Cartographers, from 2021. The bundle of rewards includes some of the most popular items from across a number of past expeditions, including the coveted Golden Vector starship – an exciting opportunity for players who missed out on the chance to earn these rewards during the original expedition runs.

Hello Everyone!

One week ago, we released ECHOES[www.nomanssky.com], our largest update of 2023. The team has put a lot of love into this release, and the community response has been incredible – it has been so exciting to see players meeting the Autophage, building their own Voltaic Staff, engaging in space combat with the new outlaw Dreadnought ships, and utilising the Wonder Projector in entertaining and unexpected ways!

Today, we are launching Voyagers, our eleventh community expedition for No Man’s Sky. Voyagers is a relaxing journey of exploration, encouraging Travellers to seek out remarkable worlds, reach planetary summits and oceanbeds, and catalogue their findings.
