We’re very proud of these updates, but we realised that by focusing on one area at a time we were missing out on the chance to making something bigger. And so here we are, nearly a year later, with the results.

The early work on virtual reality got us really excited and convinced us that we couldn’t just tick the box. The chance to truly experience an alien world, to be totally lost in these strange lands – it was an utterly perfect fit for the dream at the heart of our game. Experimental Branch 14/08
Hello everyone,

First of all, thanks so much to everyone who has already spent time playing BEYOND and letting us know about any issues you’ve experienced. It’s overwhelming to watch thousands of players begin or continue their journey across the universe.

Steam users are able to opt-in to the Experimental Branch, where we have pushed a rapid patch to fix a number of crashes and other problems seen in the first hours since release. We’ll be rolling out these fixes to other platforms as soon as possible.

To play in Experimental, right-click on No Man’s Sky from the Steam library page and select “Properties”. Among the available tabs will be the “BETAS” tab. Enter “3xperimental” in the textbox and press “CHECK CODE”, then select it from the dropdown menu.

The patch notes are as follows:

Update to Experimental Branch 15/08
  • Improved localisation.
  • Fixes for more rare cra...

Hi there,

Thanks for mentioning this in a thread, I would appreciate it if someone would open a ticket in out Zendesk and attach the crash dmp so we can see whats going on.

The .dmp file can be found in your computers temp folder (If you search for "%temp%" in your Windows search bar, this should come up).

If you reference my steam username as the title for the ticket, and copy a link to this thread in the ticket, that would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!
