What's up playas.

Sorry to say, but I'm still working on the rooms update. I got a bit hung up by two big additions, the Barracks and settler happiness. These two required a lot of code changes and work. As a result, I wasn't able to finish up the remaining rooms that I wanted to add for this update.

I HATE to not be able to push out an update for you amazing folks each week. Technically, I could put this update out, but I'm worried it hasn't had enough testing on my part due to the big code changes. I don't want to push this out until it's 100% ready. As well, I really want to get the other remaining rooms into the game first.

Here's a brief on where the new version is at:

Done:

Barracks:

-Send your warriors and archers here to train in their downtime.
-Includes a new prop, the training dummy.
-When training dummies are destroyed, settlers will automatically try to rebuild them as long as the required items are available.

Rooms UI:
Pic: Room Placement UI[imgur.com]
-Shows placed rooms and their owners.
-Allows for auto or manual assignment.
-Allows renaming.
-Room capacity now determined by room size.

Auto Behaviors:
-Each room has a unique way for entities to become their owners. For example, the bedroom will have companions and their children auto join the same room. When the child grows up, they will take ownership over a new room.

Happiness:

-Settlers are now much more susceptible to their moods. Happiness is something that will affect settlers over a long period of time and may result in them leaving the settlement or becoming hostile. This isn't something you'd notice early on in the game, but will affect you later if you neglect them.

To-Do:

Remaining rooms:
Dormitory - Temporary place for new settlers and visitors to sleep.
Temple - Place where settlers can go to worship their gods.
Guard Post - Warriors and archers will go to these places when not training.
Dining hall - Place where settlers can go to mingle and eat.
Merchant hall - Merchants will only arrive at a settlement if you have this room.
Town hall - Place to go during an attack. Would also kick-off future event where settlements elect a leader.

Room quality based on contents:
-This one is pretty important for me. I want the room quality to affect many settler behaviors. i.e., make them unhappy if they feel their room isn't nice enough, make merchants charge more if their Merchant Hall isn't nice enough, have gods attack if the temple isn't high enough quality, etc.

As you can see, there's A LOT to do. That's why this one is taking so long to put out there. I'm hoping this new update will make the game feel a lot more immersive. And, once it's done, I can move onto things like the overworld map update.

Thank you for the patience with this one!

Your best bud,
Waylon
