Yep, Tchey has it there. Containers will add two days to the time it takes for food to decay. I also recommend placing farm zones on your crops. Your farmers will make sure to harvest and replant those crops automatically. Lastly, try keeping extra seeds on the side as they don't decay. Sometimes you don't need to plant everything as it might just go to waste from rot.

Food will decay at the same rate underground. This is something we are going to implement later along with it decaying slower during winter.
