We're discussing this Blog on our livestream today at 5pm, so please respond with any questions you might have for Mod Husky and Mod Arcane!
I thought the revision of the raids 3 rewards and the nex rewards were going to be posted at the same time?
Nex blog is planned for tomorrow :) Both will be tested in the beta at the same time
Feels like a lot of people are speculating on how the gear changes work, can we have another beta to test the changes?
Another beta will be available on October 20th :) For both these rewards, and Nex rewards. More on the Nex ones on Friday.
Rewards still feel bad. "Low life" isnt fun. Trying to add another melee weapon to an already saturated meta is wrong. Powercreeping a staff that you recently added is stupid.
Why did Jagex double down on the rewards even after the community said they were bad AFTER an open beta testing?
Could you explain why low life isn't fun in the question and maybe phrase this question in a way that would be more appropriate to ask the devs on a livestream? It gets really hard to try and rephrase questions sometimes in a way that is respectful to answer, but I also really want to make sure your voice is heard. Thank you so much!
Hi Mod Light,
I suppose the consensus on the Masori armour is that players are worried the Low Life mechanic will have little to no application to current content. To me, it feels underwhelming because I want to use this armour at CoX, but in its current state, its not a direct upgrade.
The Heka and the Ward look great and are powerful raids 3 rewards. The ring is also very interesting, the big brains of the community will find uses for it for sure. The Keris Partisan looks like a weapon that will be great for Raids 3 and Raids 3 only (and also KQ), which is fine since it is clearly designed to fit that niche.
I haven't seen enough calculations on the Osmumten's Fang to form an opinion on that weapon, but it looks interesting nonetheless.
I would say the main problem is that the Heka, Ward and Masori items will be the main draw for people doing Raids 3. At the moment, the Masori armour is coming up short with its awkward Low Life mechanic seeding the idea that there is little to no backwards compatibility with current content.
Thank you very much for this thoughtful comment, I will definitely keep it in mind when discussing feedback on the blog! In the meantime do you have any questions or suggestions for today's ToA stream for the developers?
Lowlife feels like a forced mechanic that doesn't really belong in OSRS in my opinion. The risk vs reward doesn't seem balanced enough, and overall the rewards feel underwhelming.
My question would be to the mods, are there any other status or unique effects that have been considered? I understand you're looking to have a place for all top tier armours by having different effects, would you be open to community suggestions on the topic?
Could there be a data gathering survey of sorts for the raid 3 rewards maybe?

Thank you that is a well thought out question!
