Dagon'hai robes should be saved for While Guthix Sleeps quest like PRE EOC, or a similar quest with the previous stats. I think it would be nice to see some new fresh robes instead, with the proposed stats :)

A fair opinion. Although there are no plans currently to release WGS or similar so that could be a long wait.
How rare are dagonhai robes? A concern of the robes during Warding's poll was that they'd be so common that they'd completely replace Ahrim's, reducing it to high alch value.
What sort of drop rate would you expect for each piece?
Just a clarification, would elemental runes only work while within the wilderness?
I also saw some talk about an eternal/permanent burning amulet. If some of these fail, this could be an okay place for it maybe?
Yeah, the runes would be for use in the Wilderness only. Thanks for the suggestion!
Please confirm the mechanics of the curse. How long does it last? Are you cursed when you item protect the weapon or only when you lose them as them as your +1?
The curse would last until it has been paid off to be lifted. Only losing the weapon would inflict it.
I think the looting bag drop rate should scale with wilderness diary completion rather than just combat lvl.
How come? It doesn't need to be that intricate, I reckon. It's mean to be a common item that's easy to obtain anyway.
Do elemental work just as regular combo runes work?
Ex: varrock teleport is 3 air 1 fire 1 law rune, or 3 smoke runes 1 law rune. Would that also use 3 omni runes or 4?
In your example, four would be used. They're not combination runes in that sense, but it does mean you could cast Varrock teleport with two inventory spaces, like you could if using a smoke rune.
Curious - Why are dagon'hai robes 70/30 instead of 70/40?
I asked the Mod who suggested them last time and that was the Def req they recalled. If it's too low, we can increase it.
Seems a bit harsh for someone who could have been smited, being forced to pay 1m fee on top of losing the +1.
Hopefully this won't be too much for someone who can afford to use the weapons. Given how powerful they are, we wanted to add a drawback. It also acts as a counter-measure against players dropping the weapons to their friends or alts when they're near the end of their degredation to get 1m coins back.
I still want it easy to get back on my uim if you're going to remove the old shop lol.
Figured if you diaries increased drop rate, it would be fast to get it back even from low lvl npc's like thugs or skeletons.
Ah, I see. They're pretty quick to get back from rats currently, we could make it even more so.
I read the blog amd may be misunderstanding but what does this mean for the points I have already accumulated in the BH shop I do a lot of wildy slayer and have almost 7m points. Are they lost or simply restructured with the proposed changes? Like should I spend them all now?
We'd keep the old shop open for a while after the new one comes in so you can still spend your points. But yes, eventually we'll be closing it (with plenty of warning).
The corrupted dragon weapons are listed as being members only in the poll questions, but usable by F2P in the blurb above.
Fixed, thanks.
What is the purpose of corrupted dragon weapons? Why not just use actual dragon weapons rather than their corrupted counterpart. I'm sure I am missing something.
Apologies, the blog has been amended to clarify that these would be able to be used in F2P. This is their benefit vs the actual dragon weapons - alongside not requiring the quests to complete to use them. Mainly it's a F2P thing.
in RS2 they were available to F2p players. The blog wording is unclear if they will be members items or "obtainable only by members but usable in f2p"
Hopefully the blog reads more clearly now - these would be tradeable to F2P players, if they go ahead.
Thank you for clearing up the degredation on pvp weapons, last time it wasn't so clear that they would degrade (i'm glad they are and 1m per item is great.) But can they drop 75% of the total coins?
As for the dagon'hai robes - I love them but I feel they may be acquired too easily.
Could we have a cosmetic upgrade to ahrims to make the ahrims look like dagon'hai making them untradeable) as a reward from the new bh store? If you die and lose ahrims you can buy more ahrims and use them on the bh store npc, once you have unlocked the cosmetic upgrade from the bh store. The dagon'hai would break, dropping the ahrims price in coins to the person who killed you.
This would create a sink to ahrims and not devalue it at the same time.
The degradation seems necessary to keep them in check, for sure. When dropped, they convert to 1m coins, matching the cost to pay off the curse. We could make them drop 750k instead, but that seems like an additional sink in PvP that's maybe not needed right now.
Your Ahrim's suggestion is interesting although some players might consider it a bit lore-breaking!
So- eventually the only way to get rune pouches will be BH? Or will it stay in the slayer point store? Not a fan of forcing people to PvP..
Also- feel like if the dagonhai robes are better than ahrims there should be a higher stat requirement- as it stands theyre better than ahrims with no drawbacks and easier to equip. Makes no sense.
The pouch will still be available from the Slayer Points reward shop. Where would you set the Dagon'hai reqs? These can always be adjusted.
This doesn't make sense to me...
Reading the blog, it seems you only get cursed if you die and lose the weapon, but you can still drop it for 1m coins without being cursed? How does that act as a counter-measure.
Seems like there's three options:
- Die with it and be cursed, costing you 1m
- Use it until it degrades, costs nothing, gain nothing
- Drop it right before it degrades, costs nothing, gain 1m coins.
Each weapon would degrade to nothing after one hour of combat. Brand new weapons will be tradeable, but as soon as the weapons are used in combat they will change to a degrading state and become untradeable. If they are dropped, they will convert to 1,000,000 coins.
I see that it doesn't read quite right, I'll get that fixed. In the meantime, the idea is that if you use the weapon until it degrades to nothing, there's no cost. Dropping (manually or by death) should result in the curse.
Is the rework itself not being polled anymore?
Do the dagon'hai robes have a set effect?
Why are pvp weapons everywhere being polled?
We'll run a beta to make sure the minigame's gameplay changes are fun and what it's players expect. Once they are, we'll go ahead with those changes and only poll the rewards as these have an impact on players outside of the minigame, too - similar to LMS.
Does that include PvP worlds? It would be a bit inconsistent if it didn’t.
I agree they should - I'll see if this is possible.
u/jagexgambit will the slayer store rune pouch see a decrease in price?
If you guys want it. We've talked about offering this within the team.
What's the feasibility of having multiple rune pouches that did not share the same 'inventory'?
It's useful so if you want to swap spellbooks you can just grab your ancients pouch and go instead of sitting at the bank.
In PvE there is a decent need for different sets of runes as well, so instead of going through the (annoying) process of emptying and swapping runes, we could just have ready to go pouches for different activities.
None, unfortunately.
Why can't we get different rune configurations for different rune pouches? Id pay the extra cost for rune pouches for veng, alchs and ancients
I don't think this is possible for technical reasons.
Is the new sara sword spec the same as the Korsei sword spec minus the AoE?
It is.
If the recolours pass I'm done with this game. I'm all too familiar how games develop after this.
I'm sorry to hear the godsword anim recolour is a dealbreaker for you. We made a point of removing the other community-suggested recolours because they were unpopular when pitched more widely. Can you specify what you think this change would mean for the game?
Could we have Perdu offer looting bags for a reasonable fee? That way we won't need to waste a bank spot on them? Plus I always need to repair my items with Perdu anyway, so it's not out of the way.
Thanks - I like this suggestion. How much do you think is a reasonable price?
Why aren't looting bags scaled based on the Wilderness diary?
Because they don't need to be so rare that the Hard and Elite diaries make a significant difference. We're considering making them easier to obtain at the lower end of NPC too.
Wait, so as an ironman I wouldn't be able to get rune pouch by doing wildly slayer anymore? I would have to actually do bounty Hunter?
Wilderness Slayer would still provide the points you need to buy it from the Slayer Reward points shop.
Wouldn’t 150 points for a rune pouch still be a bit excessive?
Currently you need a 5 kill streak to get a rune pouch (t1-t6). Or by purchasing a t10 off the ge for ~2m you can buy 4 rune pouches. With the crates being 5 points and on average reward 100k that means you’re forgoing ~3m in loot from crates for a rune pouch making rune pouches 6x more expensive than it currently is.
If you and your opponents are equally matched, you have a 1/64 chance of winning 6 fights in a row. Obviously these odds may be a little better if you're an above average PKer. Either way, this is not an easy feat.
You're right that nowadays many players simply buy the Rune pouch with a T10 emblem that costs 2M. But just because you can get four from one T10 emblem doesn't mean they're worth 500k each, because most players only ever buy one. So this is not a good measure of the pouch's value.
If 5 points = 100k, 150 points is equal to 3m which is definitely above what players are used to paying for Rune pouches. I'm happy to reduce this to around 75 (~1.5m worth of loot) which is much closer to what players are used to paying for a rune pouch prior to T10s being tradeable. What do you think?
u/jagexgambit will the slayer store rune pouch see a decrease in price?
I'm keen on polling this once we have agreement within the team on what's appropriate. We could offer to bring it down to 750, but people have rightly pointed out that it's far more useful than the herb sack which already exists at this cost.
Any plans on discussing the state of BH after the maul update?
We're still monitoring the effects on player activity and how they're building their accounts. If it's had a serious negative impact, we can revisit.
make VLS have 2 specs instead of 4
It do.
