At the beginning of the pandemic I had to quit playing runescape and a few months later went to play again and my account had been hacked, didn’t think it would be that hard to get it back just thought okay i’ll easily get it back.

Nope. Every single time the form is auto rejected by a robot. Literally not even a minute goes by.

My account is very old, old enough that it’s just a username login , I cannot remember 10+ years ago what day I started playing runescape? I do not have the debit card number from 10 years ago? I don’t remember my very first password? I can’t remember what I had for dinner yesterday much less a 10 year old password.

I started playing again in Dec 2018, for the past full year I have logged in from the same pc, the same phone all on the same wifi. I’m submitting my form from there and in the little give more details box I am including the exact city I created the account in and where I have been living for a year but it doesn’t matter because a ROBOT is the only thing viewing my request.

PLEASE JAGEX, fix your form or hire some actual humans to do the damn job!!! I’ve lost my childhood account that has been with me from the beginning due to the terrible support system you’ve got! I shouldn’t have to come to reddit to hope and plead with a J-mod to help me out.

Edit- No I didn’t click any stream or fishy links or anything, I’m a nurse in a pretty densely populated area and once covid 19 came my hours turned crazy and my world has been rocked since, so no I didn’t pay attention when it happened, I tried to initially recover it when It did happen but no luck and i’m just now able to get time off since my mother is sick and osrs has been my way of escaping for the past 2 years.

Edit 2- In the auto decline emails it’s saying my accounts name is Tohru-San and no longer Hutch but it doesn’t come up on the high scores?

The problem doesn't seem to be the form being awful, or the lack of human intervention (FWIW, humans do review submissions which contain accurate information).

If you're the person submitting recoveries, then I can confidently state that the account won't be returned to you. You were playing on it in December 2018, that appears to be true, but you were either given the account or you bought the account.

I sympathise, but we'll always prioritise the return of an account to its creator.
