Does the group cutting bonus apply to any spot on a redwood tree or specifically the 1 spot of the 8 available?
There's no group bonus at the WC Guild as that area isn't included - so you would just get the usual WC Guild bonus.

We wanted to give some more life to the world if we gave it to the WC Guild then it would be the same situation as it currently is with everyone going to the guild. This at least gives you a choice of what you want and where you want to do it.

How are UIM accounts meant to acquire the large amount of noted logs required for some of the rewards? For example, the Forestry Outfit requires Arctic Pine logs, and there are zero ways to obtain noted Arctic Pine logs in the game currently.
(EDIT): I've been informed that we've added noted Arctic Pine Logs as a drop from the Ice Trolls that can be found north of Jatizso and Neitiznot.
This is something we have been talking about as a team, but any addition for noted Arctic Pine logs is going to affect the wider player-base (Wintertodt/Shades of Mort'ton) and would need polling or is something that UIM Level 3 Skillers can't access (e.g. adding them to Ents, etc)
We'll be discussing this tomorrow but I can't guarantee this will happen quickly. Luckily, the two things you need Arctic Pine logs for are cosmetic, which I know doesn't resolve the issue, but at least all of the gameplay benefits you can still get.

Is there an introductory forestry quest?
Unfortunately not, although there was an idea for one, we removed it to prioritise getting systems put in place and the content ready.
Do note though that other set bonuses will override whatever’s in your Clothes Pouch. If you’re wearing a Graceful Top, the benefit of the Lumberjack Top in your Clothes Pouch will be ignored, and so on.
What counts as a set bonus? Full crystal? Rogues outfit? Barrows?
So it will nullify once you equip any piece with a set effect bonus. So even wearing one Rogue's Outfit piece would stop the Lumberjack effect.
Please, put me out of my misery, tell me the Forestry Backpack works from your inventory so fashionscape isn't dead.
Also, remove the invisible boost from stacking players and remove rations restoring run energy so the early game doesn't require you to have a Forestry Backpack and axe on you 24/7.
Yup, the same thing is the case for any items inside the forestry kit as they will work inside the forestry kit or in your inventory.

The update looks really good! One question though. With this update, the invisible boost in the Woodcutting Guild is no longer the best option. I feel like, since this is the guild after all, the best boost should still come from there. Any chance this is changed in the future?
Probably not, With the offset of the OG WC Guild bonus and the convenience of loads of different types of trees (including Redwoods) we felt it would be better to breathe more life into the world as a whole by offering the benefits of the events and a better 'group' bonus.
So will a max cape with the graceful set effect from the agility cape baked into it will not work?
It's only pieces that go into the slots that the Lumberjack Outfit would take up :)
Why not just let uim bring 1 inv of logs at a time? It works with rubies for the mounted digsite pendant too
The shop system we have only takes one of any type of 'currency' so noted logs and normal logs would be counted as two separate versions of the same 'currency'. We decided to opt for noted for the convenience they bring.
Gotta think of the lvl 3 skiller UIM's which represent a huge part of the playerbase and can't access either lumberjack outfit or arctic pines anyway when making something completely unavailable in the shop for other UIM's.
For being announced 6-7 months ago this update is a pretty big shitshow and i don't say that easily lol. Hope the fun-factor of the random events carry the rest of it.
The Lumberjack outfit is available, but it's the cosmetic version that needs Artic Pine logs. So UIM Skillers can benefit from all of the gameplay changing rewards.

On the rations explanation it says 1-handed axe not 2-handed axe. Oops.
1 Handed Axe is correct, as it now has a 30% chance to consume when using any 1h axe but with the 2h Axes it will be 100% chance.
This is how you kill an update. Me and the boys were looking forward to forestry but thanks to the new polling system ( a popular reddit post) itsl has been ruined. Please go back to polling things and not listening to reddit.

has anyone got an evernt to spawn yet? have had 10+ people on yews all with kits and have yet to see one, all been going for 15 minutes+ now

This issue has been resolved and you can buy and sell bonds from the G.E. again. We are going to continue to investigate those who have lost bonds.
The root event should... drop roots..

u/JagexSarnie The beaver pet transmog option is bugged. People can already transform their beaver pet with different logs by using a log on the beaver when the beaver is in the inventory. Seeing a lot of people run around with all sorts of colours. No use of funky-shaped log required. Request to fix / reset beaver colour to default in a hotfix / coldfix.

Have had both the flower and mulch event reward me nothing at the end and was left with the event items still in my inventory. Pollinated plenty of flowers and found the correct mulch combo every time.
We're investigating some reports of players sometimes crashing and not receiving the rewards from certain events. We're in the process of fixing the crashing issues and will then move onto fixing the rewards part. Sorry for the inconvenience.
There needs to be a pity timer on the leprechaun event, its happening 3+ times in a row because of the item spawning it, preventing players from getting bark events.
I've already raised this as a feedback point and we are going to look into either allowing events to spawn alongside the leprechaun or making the leprechaun also an event alongside it's banking options.

I am getting an issue of it saying I need a "sturdy harness" when creating the upgraded forestry kit... but I dont think this is obtainable?
2ND EDIT: Alright, second edit cos I'm a big dumb dumb, but you need to create the Sturdy Harness from the Log Brace with the items detailed in the Forestry Shop and then combine them.
Aka: Get Log Brace -> Use Items on Log Brace to Make Sturdy Harness -> Use Sturdy Harness on Forestry Kit -> PROFIT???
EDIT: I've seen another post on this now, so I'm going to raise it and have the team investigate. Thanks for raising.
I believe this is referencing the Log Brace which you need to combine the two items (that was its original name if I remember correctly)

Is there a glitch at the moment with getting bonus xp at the end of events? It seems like sometimes even though I've contributed a bunch I get no bonus xp. It seems like maybe it's related to having an event item left over in the inventory after the event ends (mulch or pollen)
