[2020] Jagex confirms that they have a Runescape backup from 2012 (before EOC). This changes everything.

We touched on this point in the stream yesterday but the backup mentioned there is only a partial backup. It does not include a client or a game engine so it's currently only usable for taking content such as Soul Wars/Stealing Creation. The 2012 partial backup, in its current state, would be impossible for players to log into and lacks compatible tools to receive updates.
