Points-based CAs will be one of the top priorities for Poll 79 work, but we don't have any strict ETAs we can commit to just yet. You'll see Poll 79 changes rolling out throughout April, but we have a Game Jam coming up this month also so a few of the changes might see slight delays.
Players can now toggle a ‘Make-x’ interface for Fletching Darts.
Any chance we can also toggle off Make-x for making arrows and headless arrows? would rather spam click than do it 10 at a time.

I hope the hunt goes over asap and we stop any future CTC for good. It's honestly boring, catered to 0.0001% of the playerbase, with 0 upside. There's much better long-term activities that we can come up with that's more inclusive to the community with actual tangible benefits, like xp gaining or an item that actually benefits us in game.
CTC is just ultra einstein level difficulty clues for literally some cosmetic reward that looks exactly like every other cosmetic out there. Way to throw off most of us
I think it's actually a lot of fun watching people come together as a community to solve these. Woox designed the whole thing and it's absolutely rapid to develop.
Totally agree that it'd be neat to see more widely-appealling long-term 'metagame' content, though I think we could still do both!
As a part time sweaty player (I take massive breaks, but when I play I sweat it out for a good few months at a time). I can’t stress how great this community and mod/dev team is. Like many of you, I play other games too, and in comparison - the OSRS team are by far the best.
I know you guys cop a lot of shit at times, but it is SO much worse out there, a lot of OSRS players just don’t realise how good we actually have it here. Very rarely are mods/devs so in touch with a community. Big ups peps! Looking forward to Shaminism 😉

How do I login to the jagex launcher with a jagex account?
edit: I can log into the website with no and select my account withotu issue but attempting to log into the jagex launcher gives me an incorrect username or password. my saved login before moving to a jagex account was removed from the jagex launcher.
If you've upgraded to a Jagex Account you should be able to sign out and sign back in to your Jagex Account on the Launcher, from there you'll be able to access all of the characters you've imported to the Jagex Account just like before!

Seems like a necessary evil. I also want to say, Woox has done a great job with this CTC despite it's hiccups. It is incredibly hard to fine tune difficulty in challenges/puzzles for a wide audience.
They're doing great work on the solves with Woox's hints. The hints feel kind of necessary because I'm not sure we really considered the fact that Woox wasn't 'on the team' any more for the solves, but things look like they're progressing at a good pace and solves still feel satisfying!
Any timeline for the discussion on permanent Scythe, Sang etc. and rune packs that was mentioned recently in the QoL post? This was quite a hot topic.
Is the team leaning more towards some of the mentioned options such as perma charges, rune packs, less charges used etc?
None yet I'm afraid - I'm sure thoughts following those points will surface in a future post or perhaps a future QOL Poll, but with the poll having only just closed and a bank holiday weekend (4 whole days off!) on the horizon it's difficult to find time to sit down and have a proper conversation on those this week.

Made a Jagex account yesterday I like the fact that we use our emails now as the only login because I use Simplelogin and have a different email for every account
I am hoping to see Yubikey support in the future
I also like how 2FA is mandatory
I won't be surprised though if people lock themselves out of their account because they did not save the backup codes like they were supposed to lol
I do wonder though how is recovery gonna work for the players who lose both 2FA and backup codes? I am sure there is gonna be people like this

Thing most worth noting here is likely this: "If you lose access to your backup codes, we're unable to remove two-step authentication and you will have to create a new account. Jagex cannot remove two-step authentication or issue new backup codes."
One of the biggest improvements Jagex Accounts makes over the current account system is it removes human error from the Account Recovery system, this is why it is extremely important for you to note down your back-up codes, whether you're handwriting them, saving a .txt file, your phone's Notes app etc. - make sure you've got them somewhere and don't ever lose them.
That being said, if you have lost them and still have access to your auth and Jagex Account, you can request a new set of codes on the Account Settings page!
I migrated to a Jagex accounts, and now I can no longer sign in on mobile, Runelite, or the official client. Using the Jagex Launcher doesn't change anything. I submitted a support ticket, does anyone else have the same problem?
Try logging out of the Launcher completely and logging back in with the credentials for your Jagex Account. You should be able to sign in on mobile using those too, you might have to hit the 'Sign out' button on the login screen and you'll be prompted to open the Jagex website - from there you whack in your Jagex Account credentials and should be back to 'Scaping with improved account security.
The s-pen for samsung is not working properly on mobile. Is this something that you have plans on fixing?

Just upgraded to a Jagex Account, was wondering is there a way to disable the 1-click login feature when I request the launcher to open Runelite (i.e. have Runelite then require me to put in my character's username, password, authenticator etc. as before)?
There is not, part of the point of Jagex Accounts is that a Jagex Account making use of auth, backup codes, more complex passwords and removing human error from account recoveries is significantly more secure than an Old School account. The end goal is to support and maintain a single secure system without the vulnerabilities of the existing system.
It'd be useful for me to ask the team working on Jagex Accounts why you'd like the functionality you're asking for and I might be able to give a more detailed response when I'm back from lunch!

I think it's just a couple of things:
- When closing the launcher without logging out of your jagex account it seems to retain login to your jagex account when reopened, which I think also means all runescape accounts can be accessed from a single click. Was wondering if perhaps the launcher could log you out of your jagex account automatically if closed (e.g. in case the user forgets to logout)?
- If you log out of your jagex account whilst logged into a runescape account on Runelite, it still retains the 1-click login feature when you logout from the runescape account. I think it stops only once Runelite is closed. Was wondering if you're not currently logged into your jagex account, could the 1-click login also no longer apply as soon as you logout of your runescape account?
I think it could be useful after logging into your jagex account for your runescape account to then still require entering its password to help with the above ^ I think also on the off chance that say the jagex account gets compromised, it would also be an additional layer of security for each runescape account too instead of all runescape accounts becoming accessible
Think these are neat suggestions - I think you can submit them directly to the team responsible via the 'Feedback' button on the launcher, but I'll be happy to pass them on regardless.
I've just managed to get my mobile client to work just fine, taking the steps you suggested. But, I still cannot log in on my desktop computer no matter what I try. Using the steam client also doesn't work. The steam client produces a different error 'Unable to connect to Steam'. Which is unusual, considering the rest of Steam works completely fine. I could use Runelite just fine a few hours ago, is there a way I can undo this? I can't access my character now at all unless I use my phone now..

I just changed my account over and when i downloaded the launcher and went to sign in, it doesn't recognize my email/login information. Same thing when i try to sign back into the web page. I'm seeing that other people are also having a similar problem. Is there a way to look into this please?
edit: nevermind. i'm an idiot that somehow incorrectly input my set up password twice in a row. Accidentally capitalized the same letter i think. Not sure if the others experiencing similar issues did the same mistake i did
Sign out of the Jagex Launcher and sign back in using the credentials for your Jagex Account - then use either the vanilla client or Runelite via the Jagex launcher to get back to gaming. Same on the web page - make sure you're using your Jagex Account credentials to sign in.
Is there any way to remove an account from a Jagex account? I have a friend who put one on there that he shouldn't have and it's causing him some trouble.

There isn't a way to reverse the import, it'd be good to know a little more about 'that he shouldn't have' or exactly what trouble it's causing him if at all possible.

Are we able to update our login email to another one after creating the Jagex account? I know with regular RS accounts your login email could never change. Is this still the case, or can I upgrade to a Jagex account today, and update the login email a month from today?

Where do you receive backup codes? I made a jagex account and didn’t see them anywhere, or do you have to request them?
Make sure you're using app authentication to receive backup codes, if for some reason you missed them and you are using app auth, you can request a new set of backup codes under the 'Two-step Authentication' section on the Account Management page (this link might work for you)

If you head to your Account Settings and navigate the prompts to the Jagex Account management page, you should see an option underneath the 'Two Step Authentication' section where you can replace your backup codes!
