This week’s update brings some handy quality-of-life improvements to Farming and Autocasts!

Hey gang, tryna steal first comment to quickly ask that if you've got thoughts on any of the Yama progress update stuff, drop them as a reply here! Lets me gather it up easily and keeps the wider conversation a lil clearer for Mod Rach on the content of today's game update.

Hope you're all having a fab week!

Oathplate armour design is sick, the main colouring reminds me of HCIM armour though. I wonder if the white version is perhaps too bright? Either way, hyped to fight Yama and get a release date!

Worth noting that when we show off models like this, they're always a little more 'vibrant' than they wind up looking in the main game, so they should look more muted in live!

There are full-on models in the post itself beast!

I think the flex cosmetic is currently too bright (the inner body and legs part of the white color) and a bit of an eye sore to look at for a long time. Good work though!

Replied to another comment with this, but when we show off models like this, they're always a little more 'vibrant' than they wind up looking in the main game, so they should look more muted in live! I'll see if I can drum up some more screenies whenever they're plugged in

Excited to see how it looks in the main game! I think it would be cool for future game designs, to always have 1-2 screenshots of how they look in the world enviroment.

Maybe even add short 5-second gifs to the blogpost?

For sure, just some extra steps between having something modelled and plugging it in to a test stream, will see if we can get some spun up for whenever we announce release date!

With the playtests being this week can we hope for a release date announcement this week too if they go well?

Likely not this week, beyond that I'm not entirely sure - we'll share one as soon as we're able to, just don't want anybody to book time off and risk a delay etc.

Silly question, but have you guys considered "oath platebody/oathplate body" instead of "Oathplate platebody" if you're worried about it being too much of a mouthful?

There's a section in the blog covering this, Oathplate is the name of the material, then the pieces are the Helm, Body and Legs

Is the Yama shown sitting on the throne the final model? He looks quite a bit less detailed compared to some of the concept art you've shared so far. Of course, concept art is just "concept" at the end of the day. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, btw, just a different stylistic approach.

Just a sneak peek and a big chair with an idle animation, not a 'final' product and there's obviously more going on with Yama than just a little dude sitting in a chair

The Castlewars Rune pouch will now enable free casts of Humidify.

If your goal is to encourage proper gameplay in Castle Wars, this seems counterproductive. This isn't as popular nowadays, but won't some people cast humidify to gain magic experience?

Casts with the castlewars rune pouch does not grant casting XP, only combat xp when the spell lands. There is no combat xp to be had when casting Humidify, so no xp will be granted!

Yama looks great, most oldschool looking new boss in ages.

Please dont add a 1 click 3t item. 99% of people who already 3t will be annoyed and barely anyone who doesnt 3t will start doing it because theyre saving 1 click. Lose-lose

Replied to a few folks on Twitter on this one, so will copy-paste: 'while I won't speak more on the clip in the post, we're not introducing any item that adjusts/alters tick manip methods in the wider game. Everything shown here is bespoke to the Oathplate armour creation process.'

Is the spear gonna be fixed? Also bands healing way too much should be addressed. It was polled to mirror anglerfish. They heal 27 right now

The Castlewars bracelets boost healing in castlewars, and have always done. It might be what you're seeing.

You'd have to be more specific about the issue with the spears. Their behaviour is now different on Castlewars worlds (where consecutive shoves still cannot be performed) and on non-Castlewars worlds (where consecutive shoves can be performed once again).

Consecutive shoves weren’t part of the intention. I believe the initial ask was to remove the freeze immunity after stun, rather than the immunity to consecutive shoving. The ideal implementation is having shove immunity but not freeze immunity.

Castlewars bracelets typically heal 50% of pre bracelet buff. Before it was 9hp boosted to 14. Now it is 22 boosted to 27. Has the percentage changed? Initially it was polled to mirror anglerfish. This was assumed to be 22 after the brace effect.

The ask, and associated poll question, was about reverting the behaviour of the spears and hastas to pre-2016 behaviour on non-castlewars worlds, which is what we did.

Regarding bandages: The percentage hasn't changed. It used to heal you for 10% of your total health without bracelet or 15% with.
An anglerfish's max heal is 22, composed of a flat health boost which scales with your level plus 10% of your total health.
The bandages now heal you for the same flat health boost which scales with your level, plus 10% of your total health without bracelet or 15% with.
