How is the collection log menu when you actually go into the headers? Is it similar to the combat achievement system that is an absolute nightmare to actually use and awful to actually see anything?
This new interface is just an "Overview" interface. You can still directly open the old one, you need to go out of your way to see this one.
When you click on the header "buttons" it just takes you to that tab of the existing collection log, exactly how you'd expect it to look pre-update
I didn't want to do what CAs did and make you go through this everytime you wanted to see the log and just create additional clicks
No changes to the bounty hunter store? Wasted opportunity to add some good rewards and spice it up.
Absolutely potential to expand on the reward offering down the line, but for now we felt as though we had so much stuff in there that wasn't realising its full potential for stat imbalance or usage cost reasons, made more sense to tweak what's already in there than add more stuff in for the time being!
Any downtime expected?
Not today no!
Why is only the highest collection log tier that is percentage based?
Perhaps Husky can speak more to this but I'd imagine it's because those higher tiers are the only really 'competitive' tiers and if people want to compete then it makes sense to keep up with the curve, but for people lower down it's nicer to have fixed goals to work towards and know that you'll definitely get them!
During the Game Jam, Husky shared a Twitter poll asking what people preferred between static/percent and results were super split - this felt like a compromise that might suit both approaches at the right time.
So for bounty hunter, can we get more skips now that I can confidently say that the guy with an msb isn't risking the 2m he said he was? It's wild to still not have risk brackets. It doesn't feel good when I get 5 kills and 1 death and I'm not profiting .
Can absolutely raise it as a feedback point that checking out Skips and whether or not a 'free' skip is possible if there's a big discrepancy!
Just to be sure: the clog update is only cosmetic with no uses? Feels like it should give some benefits like ghommals hilt but I dont know shit about rewards space etc so just making sure I didnt miss anything.
Correct yeah, just cosmetic!
Could we perhaps increase the eligibility timer for forestry events? 3 minutes still seems a bit short if you're not actively paying attention or you're firemaking/fletching.
It should average out to 80 seconds with these changes, but there's still potential for us to go further if it's felt necessary after today's changes!

What Goblin said.
We didn't have a clear consensus, there were two conflicting goals from player feedback:
Ultimately we've settled on a compromise, so that Gilded over time isn't going to get significantly easier as easier log slots get introduced over time (It will still slightly, but less than if it was static) while at the same time we'll reward significant milestones.
It's not perfect long-term but we can always add steps inbetween Dragon/Gilded if it becomes a massive issue. I've no clue when this would be though and player feedback will surely guide that.
I personally don't believe that the current system has an issue even at 2000 log slots (1800 for Gilded), but it probably does at 3000 log slots (2700 for gilded).
Anyway, just a small ramble of my thoughts during gamejam.
is there any chance we will get a reworked CA interface then? Also can we add a "quest" section to CA's. Any CA thats quest related is a huge pain to find. That being glough, seren, tds, galvek...might be missing some but thats the jist of it
I'd love to do it at some point, but "at some point" probably doesn't give you a clear answer. It seemed like a cool pokedex like UI when we made it initially but it's got some clear UX issues that have become clear over time.
Could the clog staff get a teleport thats useful flor cloggers? Like to the mimic chest?
Or maybe a teleport to that clue step that needs a sled?
Ghommals hilt has perks so I'd love to see this have some functions too!
We could do for sure, I think there's an element of Clog feeling a little less deterministic than CAs and therefore being more apprehensive to tie anything that might feel like a strict gameplay buff behind it. Opinion still seems split on whether or not adding actual perks to CAs was a good or bad decision and doubling down on it here might have been difficult to figure out whether we want 'scaling' rewards (which is scary given the nature of clogging) or 'static' rewards at one tier, which might make it feel like a 'complete 200 log slots and then stop caring' additional passive grind.
Players can now create Chromium Ingots after discovering the secret of Chromium Smithing in the Undercity of Lassar.
Well that's pretty big.
Have fun figuring it out!
I seemed to have lost some collection log slots after the update, I was at 1114/1561 now I'm at 1080/1521.
I'm assuming it's a visual/counting issue as nothing seems to be missing from individual clog pages.Edit: Main issue seems to be solved, I'm back to 1114/1561.
Could we possibly add more items to the Historical Collection Log whitelist? Some items came out after the Collection Log but weren't given a collection log slot initially. (I have a Swift Blade that isn't on my collection log and I'm unable to add it manually for example, I'm sure other items exist.)
Newspost's just been updated to let people know that we're looking into this!
Me after having fun figuring it out
Now nobody else can have fun figuring it out, mystery is dead :(
Normally, I am not one to complain, but the bounty hunter balancing changes make viable build variety substantially worse, not better.
The statius warhammer, which at low combat levels is the most smothering weapon in the game, received a buff.
The meta for pures in the 60-90 combat range is to combo an atlatl -> gmaul -> smack with obby maul or other big weapon. Both the overpowered atlatl and gmaul were left untouched, while the last part of the combo was given a buff by reducing the barrelchest anchor attack requirement. The atlatl could really use a nerf, and the gmaul spec should be reworked so that it hits with higher accuracy but lower max hit, which would make it more reliable at higher combat levels and less oppressive at lower combat levels.
The dbow, one of the very few weaker alternatives to gmaul pking in the pure bracket, received a nerf.
60 attack pure builds, which were already weaker than 50 attack builds due to the lower strength levels and the gmaul being so strong, were further devalued here by reducing the barrelchest anchor attack requirement. The d long and d mace buffs really do not make up for this, as these weapons are not viable ko weapons.
Overall, I am pretty disappointed in the bh portion of this update.
Happy to pass this on to the team, didn't see much to this effect when we first outlined the changes last year. SWH spec buffs shouldn't really impact low level brackets because defences down there are already so low?
Atlatl and Gmaul are separate points I guess because changing them isn't the same as changing BH-specific gear and raises questions around whether their behaviour is changed elsewhere too.
Appreciate you sharing your thoughts and will make sure they're discussed among the team!
Just logged in, love the clog changes.
TL;DR - add missing items to clog that make sense. Move items into their own sections where it makes sense. Add counters that are available to view in the game world for these related clogs to the clog / new sections where it makes sense. Full list of ideas / first thoughts on these sorta polishing pass changes below.
Now that we've had this interface improved, im wondering if creating a few sections that seem to make sense could happen? And adding counters to sections where appropriate instead of having to look at different places for this?
A few examples i can think of:
- Shooting stars section could show stars you found first - this stat exists at the Observatory lab.
- Dusk Mystic and Broken hasta could be moved to Brimstone chest tab - with the counter of how many you've opened. Chest shows on open / you can check it.
- Dagonhai could be moved to Larran's Chest section - with a counter of how many you've opened. Chest shows count on open / i think you can check it?
- Teleport anchoring scroll could be included in the "Elder chaos Druids" tab, which could have a name change to include undead pirates, and show the amount of chests opened. Chest shows this on open / i think you can check it?
- Evil chicken outfit could move to its own section (named that, or God Egg Shrine or something) and show how many offerings you've made - this only shows every new offering.
- Eternal glory - this could be moved to its own section but its only a singular item, and i feel a "Wilderness" section would double-up too many things. There is no official counter for this in game, only a plugin. There should be one, and it should be present in the clog somewhere and Counters in your POH achievement gallery.
- Dragonstone armour - should be in the Enhanced Elven Chest section, with a counter for how many you open - chest shows this on open / i think yo ucan check.
- Orange and Blue sac should be in "Forthos Dungeon" section, along with the pages for the miniquest and the key for the dungeon gates. This should show a counter for how many times the Grubby Chest has been opened. Grubby key could also be on this clog / also sarachnis clog.
Minigames it would be nice to see the stats in all of them like we've gotten recently (wintertodt searches, temoross reward permits, mixology potion orders done)
- Tithe farm showing how many plants you've deposited
- Volcanic mine how many ore sacks you've opened
- Shades of Morton how many of each chest you've opened (maybe not split to each colour, just bronze, steel, silver, black, gold).
- Mahogany homes how many total reward points, and maybe how many of each tier of contract? (hunter guild just groups them all under rumour count, so could do that for mahog homes too)
- Games won in each of the minigames it makes sense (Castle wars, Pest control, Soul wars, Barb assault (how many queen kills))
I've raised this once before years back and Ash expressed interest. I feel like these are the last sort of "refinemenets" to the clog that need to happen, alongside adding a few things to clog that are missing that feel.... odd.. for being missed:
- Bounty hunter not on clog, even though LMS is. (and all other pvp minigames, castle wars and soul wars, albeit they have afk / pvm methods too).
- Clue count stretch goal items not on clog (heavy casket, scroll sack, giant spade, strange scroll)
- Whistles from hunter rumours. Mature tecu salamander as well (its 1/1k. weird its that rare and not a clog).
Theres likely others im forgetting.
Might be a considerable bit of development but happy to raise these as feedback points!
Small thing I noticed when trying to look at my collection log rank on the high scores page.
If I "Search by name" for my account, there is no line for collection logs like I would expect. All other bosses, etc, are included, but not the collection logs. So unless you're in the top few pages, it could take a VERY long time to find what rank you are.
Do you have more than 500 log slots? I think the minimum for the time being is 500 slots completed.
if we're getting hiscores for clog, can we at least also get recent items on the hiscores.
Think this would be cool if technically possible (though I'm not sure on how the HiScores architecture is really set up and whether or not it could do this in a clean way) but might also make some people more visible targets for bad actors.
u/JagexBlossom - the LMS clogs are NOT counting and says "the collection log has already accounted for that item."
I have the upgrades and items from Bounty Hunter prior it was moved to LMS, but none of the clogs are there except for the godsword special attack reskins.
Is this intended or bug?
D'you have a full list of items beyond the Swift Blade?
