I wouldn't want to see either return as they were, but I think both could be used in some way.

Shooting Stars would be the easiest to adapt. I'd remove some of the locations to focus more on actual mines rather than places like the middle of Yanille (no one mines Pure Ess...). But the main change I'd want is to remove the daily cap and just rescale the exp and rewards so it would be reasonable to do non-stop for an hour. Also, I agree about just getting the loot from the center rather than using the stardust system; I'd probably focus reward more on ores based on mining level than stuff like runes.

Evil Tree I'd change a bit more drastically. I don't think it worked as well to randomly pop up around the world, but I do think the activity was fun. I'd rework it into more of Woodcutting skilling boss than a diversion. I had a concept a while back for an evil tree-inspired boss in the Kharazi Jungle, but perhaps other locations might work better.

The Army Axe I'm not as sure about. I do like the idea of a multi-tool earned in pieces like a totem, but I'd rather it be a new OSRS item rather than copying the RS2 tool. I mean a "Dwarven Army Axe" does sound a bit out of place for OSRS. Perhaps instead there could be special equipable tools gained from different activities, then something like a skilling boss could drop an item that you could use to merge them all together into one tool. It would work similar, but with each part being useable on their own to give a better progression across more content.

Love seeing stuff like this, seriously well thought out feedback on how we could implement such content!
