Appreciation Package Re-Run

  • Let's give this another go shall we? We've now re-run the Appreciation Package for all players who previously logged in and claimed it (before this afternoon), as we will assume that those players didn't receive a unique item as we had intended.
    • You should now all have received a new god-roll weapon that you haven't previously obtained.
    • If you previously had already obtained all 46 Legendary weapons in the game, you will still receive a new weapon but it will, as expected, be something you previously obtained.
    • Please check all characters, your stash and all Inventory pockets, including your side-arm inventory for the weapon
    • Weapons from the first appreciation package will not be removed from your inventory, even if they were duplicate.
  • For anyone coming back to the game now (or in future), you will receive:
    • A random god-rolled Legendary weapon which you have not previously obtained (on any character)
      • Please check all Inventory pockets, including your side-arm inventory for the weapon
      • If your inventory if full, please check your stash for the Legendary weapon.
      • If both your inventory and stash are full, the Legendary weapon will appear when you next free up an inventory space and restart the game.
      • If you have already previously found all weapons, your character will be granted the rarest weapon for their class.
    • Extra Titanium based on your character's level
    • A new emote, "Frustration" has been unlocked for all your characters and can be found in the customization menu.
      • A game restart may be required for it to appear.

Balancing

Our balancing team is currently scoping out some further balancing buffs to underutilized skills. We'll share more details around these in future.

Patch News

  • Earlier this week we released our latest patch. You can read the full patch notes for it here.
  • While we are already hard at work on the next patch (it's currently looking unlikely to be ready by next week), we would be keen to hear about your thoughts on how the game has changed with the release of this week's patch. Where have you noticed the most improvements?

Multiplayer & Connectivity

  • While the Legendary change and the addition of controllers are likely the most exciting improvements we introduced, we did also make significant improvements to multiplayer connectivity for many players.
  • As multiplayer connectivity, rubberbanding and packet loss appeared to be linked to a number of bug reports, in particular for mods or skills not properly procing or activating, we would be keen to hear from you:

Did you notice a significant improvement in your multiplayer experience?

  • If No:
    • Please let us know which region of the world you're in (e.g. "South America"), where your co-op partners are located and on what platforms you/your friends are playing.
  • If Yes:
    • Did you notice that certain previous inconsistencies/bugs no longer appeared (or appeared much less frequently?)
      • If Yes, please do let us know which bugs you feel have been resolved!
      • If No, please do let us know which important bugs are still outstanding (if we haven't yet noted them in the known issues list).

List of known issues:

Note 1: This is not an exhaustive list of things being worked upon. This is also not a list of patch notes for the next patch. Upcoming patches will address issues that may not be listed here.

Note 2: “Investigated” means that we have been able to successfully reproduce an issue on our dev environment and are currently looking at the root causes of said issue. If we have not yet been able to reproduce a specific issue, it may not be listed here, but that doesn’t mean we’re unaware of it.

  • Xbox problems related to signing in
    • This is one of our top priorities and something we can continuing to investigate.
  • Certain Mods not working, in particular when you’re the client during multiplayer sessions
    • Issue under review following multiplayer improvements
  • Scrap Grenade mod stops working after cutscenes
    • Issue currently being investigated
  • Players dying while a shield is active
    • Issue currently being investigated. Rather than shields not properly mitigating damage, this issue may be caused by (either) the UI not catching up properly or it may be a case of certain shield mods continuing to proc their shield after death has occurred under certain edge cases.
    • Example: A player continually generates shields and their death prevention mechanics are already on cooldown. They are then hit by enemy damage waves that deplete both shields and health at a greater/faster rate than the shield can regenerate in that window, leading to cases of player HP reaching 0 for a split-second before another chunk of shield is added.
  • Trickster's Hunt the Prey does not turn player towards an enemy’s back if aiming down sights immediately after activation
    • Issue currently being investigated
  • Trickster's Venathors Knife may target a wrong enemy
    • Issue currently being investigated. This appears to be due to a delay when the skill changes targets.
  • Devastator's Gravity Leap Mods apply status effects inconsistently
    • Issue currently being investigated
  • Devastator skills may have inconsistent damage output, particularly when using Bleed & Moaning Winds combo.
    • Issue currently being investigated
  • Devastators Statue Set bonus ends after 8 seconds (which is not stated in the description)
    • Issue currently being investigated and will be resolved in a future patch
  • Technomancer’s Borealis set bonus is not applying properly
    • Issue currently being investigated and will be resolved in a future patch
  • Devastator's Blood Donation class node may not work without any skill life leech stats boost from other gear or nodes
    • Issue currently being investigated
  • Journal entries/pick ups not appearing on secondary characters
    • Issue being reinvestigated
  • “Damage Blocked” Stat on Expeditions results screen occasionally appears inconsistently or abnormally low
    • Issue currently being investigated
  • Dismantle may not show a proper preview
    • Issue currently being investigated. This is purely a visual bug, dismantling still provides the appropriate mods.
  • Brood Mother's AOE "Surge" attack VFX are very hard to see
    • Issue being investigated

Yep, we determined the rarest based on the statistics we observed.

This happens immediately after being staggered by an enemy and ultimately results in much less, consistent damage output. However, something you probably need to add to the known issues list is that a very small number of players have experienced a data corruption and lost their resources + mods. Not sure this is actually a new issue and definitely does not seem common enough to warrant concern for other players (the one detailed case in question involved someone with previous data corruption who quit while the game was still loading their character's gear, so I do not agree with their attempts to fear monger over it), but definitely something it would be good to acknowledge!

Yep, this doesn't appear to be widespread, but I'm going to ask people to contact our customer support team for this as they have the tools to flag these cases properly with the correct data and also restore accounts.

Sorry to hear about the problems you're facing with the sign-in, it is something we are continuing to look into. Are you on Xbox and have you cleared your alternate mac address?

Don't worry about missing out on the appreciation package, it will remain on your account until you're able to get back in.

Noting a bug on Pain Launcher:I had the bottom tree built out for squeezing the most anomaly out of a tree, and had Max AP on all armor (level 50). The numbers you see are what I saw in the power selection screen, perhaps it's a display bug and doesn't exist in gameplay.

Base damage is 42349.Triggering the ordnance anomaly boost (50%) raises damage to 47932.Throwing a decay turret (30% anomaly boost) and looking at damage comes in at 45699.Using both boosts lists damage at 51282.

Thanks for the DM, It's likely in there but I havent yet managed to get to it. Thanks for the re-report! If I've understood you correctly, you're pointing out that the damage is not being raised by 50% and 30% respectively?

For my Anomaly builds I've been running double Moaning Winds(MW) and before the patch I was able to utilize these in quick succession whether I was host or on multiplayer connection.

This clip is after patch but was what the interaction would look like before. Both MW activate as the weapon is switched to.

This clip is also after patch and shows the interaction on a multiplayer connection. The first swap isn't until 14 seconds into the clip so both MW are off cooldown but you can see the second one doesn't activate. In order for me to get the second one to activate at this point I'd have to swap my guns again in order to activate it.

In the latter half of that clip I show that it is possible to get both to go off in succession if you time it right. Before it was just tap the weapon swap button as fast as possible and then hold to bring my pistols back out. Now if I delay the second swap by a second or so the second weapon's MW will activate as it should.

This isn't game breaking or anything but it does cause annoyances in runs when my muscle memory expects that second MW to kill an enemy but it doesn't go off requiring me to spend another 3 odd seconds playing hot potato with my guns to get the MW off or do a skill in order to finish off the enemy.

I hope this can be looked into.

P.S. Who do I talk to in order to have an Accolade completed? Currently my last progression Accolade (Supremacy: Progression) can not be achieved because the progress is stuck at 36/37 and all the other accolades are done.

About the second video, it seems like you're on a high ping connection (Yellow Icon), so the Moaning Winds not activating might be related to that. Can you confirm that the issue persists in solo?
