I, like many, have been hunting those legendaries. As has been observed many times some items seem exceedingly rare (set helmets) while others are extremely common (cannonball gear).

I've done a fair bit of farming and rerolling and I feel confident saying the rates are not even between. I'd honestly wager something isn't working as intended with how skewed these drops are.

In the interest of clarity can we have these drop weights exposed? Maybe it can help see if there's any unforeseen issues as well.

Edit: one question that comes to mind is whether each category of armor is weighted evenly. Like helmets, chest pieces, gloves, legs and boots are all 20% each and then within that it's divided among items. That seems good except there's triple the number of helmets which makes helmet farming a nightmare.

No looter developer would release this information during the game’s release. If you saw the drop rates on helmet, you’d probably stop playing.

I chatted to the team about helmet drop rates just this week.

According to analytics, legendary helmets are the second most dropped item slot overall.

However, because there are more of them, the chance of getting specific helmets is reduced (as /u/Ching_Roc explained below).

Regarding the general question from /u/engineeeeer7, I'll check with the team is this is something we could consider.
