Decided to just make this its own post. It appeared to be constantly overshadowed by other more entertaining posts but my goal was to write up a helpful report for a bug I'm seeing in hopes it gets to the developer's attention.

Devastator Gravity Leap mods not being applied consistently

(From the video description)

Noticed some inconsistent behavior when Gravity Leap has mods that apply status effects to enemies. Sometimes they apply the effect and other times they don't when they should, depending on how the descriptions are interpreted.

This behavior was observed both before and after the May 25, 2021 patch in both solo and co-op games. Played and recorded on PS4 Pro.

Mods with inconsistent behavior:

  • Bloody Crush: Inflicts Bleed on enemies damaged by [Gravity Leap].
  • Despair: Enemies within the damage radius of Gravity Leap will receive 1.5 times more Anomaly Damage for 5 seconds. (If I'm not mistaken, denoted by the green swirl Anomaly icon under the affected enemy's health bar)

(End video description)

I can't make any predictions as to how the effects should be applied, but I can definitely tell that they're not being applied consistently. My hope is that this inconsistent behavior is either addressed, or that the descriptions are clarified to more accurately reflect how it really works.

A question I'd like to know the answer to: Does Despair stack if multiple Gravity Leaps are landed in quick succession by one or more Devastators? I've read that it does but I've never been able to apply the status effect twice myself despite being able to Gravity Leap twice in a few seconds.

Gear, skills, and class points setup also provided in the video.

Hey /u/scooperoni - just dropping by to say thank you for this great and detailed report and for the video including the timestamps. All your information has been passed on to the team, but I may be back in case there are further questions.

PS: Sorry that it's taken me so long to reply here, I've been playing catch up!
