Good questions!
While one part of our team focused on Worldslayer, another part focused on QOL updates and improvements. Most of that QOL work went into the free New Horizon update, which we released last year.
With Worldslayer, we wanted to by and large focus on new content and systems as well as work in the bug fixes and existing tech improvements that have been worked on since New Horizon.
That is to say, Worldslayer will at this time not be adding In-game chat, loadouts or item locking. We know these are highly desired features, but to focus on them would have compromised parts of Worldslayer. It's often been a question of "work on either Option A or Option B" rather than us having the capacity to work on all the top requests, even if they were very valid and we agree that they would make a lot of sense.
More Stash Space is again something we're aware of players will want. We're currently investigating whether it's possible to increase the stash space and don't yet have an answer. To provide a bit of background info: Increases to stash space can actually lead to game instability and we have observed that pushing the stash limit above its current threshold can have a significant impact on loading in times.
That's just a quick example of where it would be a simple thing to think that it should be easy to up the stash limit, and in theory doing so is... but the consequences of making that change can be surprising. The same kind of complexities are why other features such as loadouts and item locking would have diverted more staff resource away from core Worldslayer experience than we were comfortable with.
