@_Woover_ Unranked has no grouping restrictions. More than likely those players were in a group with much lower ranked players and the matchmaker made the best game it could. We prioritize competitiveness in Ranked and playing with friends in Unranked. Maybe we reconsider this?

Here's a look at where we're ending the week with the high skill group. The skill spread in a match is down another few divisions across the board. We're now at about 4 divisions or less for half of our matches, up to about 9.5 divisions or less for the worst 1% of our matches.

Just published an update to matchmaking on the OW blog. It's a little bit technical, but it's because we're trying to be as transparent with the system and the work that's going into it. More updates as we make progress, first one in the replies.
