[2022] WotR Bug: Sometimes can't switch between characters in inventory or spell book

I did a search and found something on Steam, but with no resolution. I'm on latest version of game. When I'm in inventory or character or spellbook, it doesn't switch between characters. It will sometimes switch after clicking a few times, but inconsistent.

1. I can see the bottom stats changing, but portraits and equipment doesn't change.
2. Can't change items on doll.
3. It happens after playing a while. Don't know what triggers it.
4. I have toybox, combat relief, puzzle skip, and weapon focus mods. Not too many changed settings.
