So far I’m still dabbling with WOTR but I’m loving the depth and style of the game. This week Kingmaker is available on Sale for $10 on PlayStation store and I’m wondering if I should double up and get that game too?

I understand that the PlayStation version has been abandoned and won’t be updated, and that it still contains some bugs. So hence I wanted to get some views either to say stay as far away as possible or that it’s annoying but not game breaking and I can still enjoy it.

From my limited research it seems that both games offer a different “vibe” with kingmaker being the more traditional fare whilst WOTR being the more epic and fantasy (what with all the demons and such) rich. Is that also true?

Anyways, just hoping for some thoughts to help make the decision.

Note: I don’t have a good enough PC to play I’m mostly a console exclusive gamer (might change if I buy a ROG Ally or something like that) - also, I don’t mind buying even if it’s crappy so long as it still supports Owlcat because I want them to keep making games like this. :)

To your other point Owlcat don't see a single cent from Kingmaker as they lost the license. Just so you know.

What? Why?

The game was developed when we still were a part of larger company, and the license remained with that company when we claimed independence back in 2019. Since then, we don't own Kingmaker anymore and don't get any money from it.
