I'm sure the 40k game will be great, but I admit I was sad to see the only maker of Pathfinder video games moving on to a different IP.

So I reached out to them via Facebook about it and got the following reply.

Unsure if this means working on content for WotR or if they've grown enough to be able to work on two games at once, but "simultaneously" gives me hope.

Thought I'd share :)

Currently it means we are working on the upcoming Enhanced edition and Season Pass 2 with 3 more DLCs. But who knows what the future will bring? :)

Yeah, Starrok is actual Inheribro

A big fan of the guy actually. My favourite character in PF2 :)

Also, did you know he's voiced by the same person who did Tartuccio in PF1? That blew my mind when I found out :)

Hey, just want to say how much I love the games you've made, the level of indepth attention to exploring (and honestly improving) Golarion and the Pathfinder universe, and am more excited to see Owlcat handle 40k than literally any other team.

Now give us a Chaos path that emphasizes the positive elements of Grandfather Nurgle and let the universe know how much it's loved.

Much appreciated! All this is possible thanks to the support of our wonderful community :)

Agreed. It also answers the "how do you top Mythic Paths" by pivoting and giving us time to want to see Pathfinder again.

That's one of the factors, yes. Not nearly a main one of course, but fatique for a setting/genre for both the developers and the players does exist. And it does have a certain negative impact on the creative process and reception of the game. You need a 'reload' from time to time, sort of.

Here hoping for a Pathfinder 3 where the efforts previously spent on Kingdom Management Mode and Crusade Command Mode are instead spent on additional and improved party-based content

Crusade indeed turned out to be a less polished/interesting system than it could be. We are aware of this and analyzed a plenty of feedback to find out what went wrong and how to avoid it in the future. Mostly it's mistakes in planning and budget constraints. Other parts of the game bloated more than necessary and ate the resources that could be used for Crusade. Also attention to Crusade generally came too late in development cycle, thus its integration with the rest of the game suffered.

Now with all this experience behind our shoulders we should be able to better deal with these problems and not repeat these mistakes.

P.S. While I personally realise Crusade could have been better, it was still a pretty fun mini-game that I enjoyed a lot during playthrough.

Will the new 40k rpg allow the MC to be a Space Marine?

No. The MC is a Rogue Trader.

are you currently working on or planning to work on pathching pathfinder kingmaker. Becuase i hae the game and think it is a revolutionary idea to add city building, economy, fantasy, and RPG all to geather. but it is hard to enjoy the game when their are so many bugs and just what to play it without having to trouble shoot it every time. please let me now and thank you.

Hello, Kingmaker no longer belongs to us since 2019, so unfortunately no more updates on that one.
