We all know how successful the content creation for Neverwinter nights was. The mass servers, the online support, some even created full MMO style worlds. I think Owlcat's pathfinder has the right material to succeed in launching a similar experience. But it needs a content creation tool and multiplayer connection support. Owlcat wouldn't even need to build a server themselves (though they could totally sell a subscription service to such a server) they'd just need to create (or endorse) a multiplayer connection tool within the game. Pretty sure others can create and maintain the servers. Or even if it's just playing the game in a peer to peer format like NWN, Baldur's Gate 1+2 or the original Diablo supported.

Adding multiplayer to a game that wasn't built with it in mind, would be roughly 1/3 to 1/2 of the whole game's budget. Sorry, but that's not even remotely realistic for a game that's been out for more than 2 years now.

If a team of enthusiasts wished to try it however, I'm certain we'd provide any possible support.

Lol, we'd love people to make custom campaigns. Problem here is the amount of effort and money it takes to develop such tools, not competition :)

We're upgrading mod tools significantly for Rogue Trader, but it's unfortunately not really backwards compatible.
