-Future games will be fully voiced

-One new game will be UE5, will be more cinematic and will have a larger budget

-Other games may be traditional isometric CRPGs

-The games in development are NOT new IPs from Owlcat

-Potential Kingmaker/WOTR remaster to 2E ruleset in the future (Not confirmed, they aren’t sure whether to do it yet and even if they did that wouldn’t be a thing for atleast 3 years)

Just a quick note - a remaster of our older games, potentially with PF2E, is something that would be fun at some point in future, but there's no movement around it in any way right now. For now it's just an idea that may one day go further. Certainly not in the nearest ~3 years at least.

Imagine, for a moment, you could only ever make Inquisitor builds in Pathfinder. Any time you looked at a different class, people started screaming at you 'NO! YOU CAN'T MAKE A BARD OR A FIGHTER! YOU'RE KNOWN FOR INQUISITORS!' Sure, you could build some unique inquisitor builds with all the different feats available to you, but you see everyone around you showing off their Gendarme builds and you want to branch out.

Owlcat isn't currently working on Pathfinder games right now. But that doesn't mean they've burned that bridge. They want something new, to expand their purview beyond simply Pathfinder and Pathfinder only, and I can't blame them for that. Creative burnout can lead to some pretty bad games. I'd rather they leave for a time with that possibility of coming back than force themselves to keep making the same type of games over and over again and lose the passion they have.

This person knows what they are talking about. Listen to this person :)

Yeah this is the only thing i don't like. This is a MASSIVE spike in costs. We *will* lose some things. Whether it's writing content, game length, difficulty. There is no way we will maintain everything and balloon this cost.

This will undoubtedly force owlcats hand to bring in more players which usually never bodes well for the OG fans, ESPECIALLY with the type of games OC makes.

Or the budget can be simply increased proportionally :)

Also let's be honest about it, our games are a bit overstretched by the end chapters, and that's felt. Some reasonable (not dramatic) shortening in favour of more polishing, better release quality and reactivity (and more 'horizontal' mutually exclusive choices, which make the game more varied, but not longer) wouldn't hurt at all.

I'm gonna be honest..I really hope to someday see more 1e stuff from you all been a masssive fan since kingmaker and prefer 1e over 2e..Though i do fully recognize this is one persons wish and i know corporate stuff can get in the way of such things but just wanted to add this bit to show still support for 1e out here.

Also in general i just love your guys works and i do hope you all stick around for a long ass time making amazing games

If a next game is to ever happen, it'd be a very long debate which system to use. PF2E is fresher, newer and has its own cool aspects, but there's also a massive amount of content and expertise for PF1E which would be a shame to lose. A quite tough choice.

Come to think, how come you are able to include Kingmaker in that idea? Has something changed with the License Hell™?

Not really I'm afraid. A man can dream.

If you can make the game shorter, I'm pretty sure Wrath was already suposed to be shorter than kingmaker... and we got an amazing game that's not at all shorter than kingmaker ^^

If I remember correctly, in the first drafts the planned amount of content for Wrath was supposed to be 80 hours.

We all know where that ended up, lol.

One more thing Starrok. If you don't mind.

Which class that is still not implemented do you miss the most?

There's already plenty of them, if you ask me personally :)

A vampire the masquerade game from you guys would be insane! Thank you for always interacting with the community.

Always welcome! I agree that working on that would be a blast. But then again, we're pretty occupied at the moment as it is :)
