I am legitimately trying to learn my lesson at this point lol. I am primarily a console player and always will be for better or worse. The worse being absolutely abysmal console ports of CRPGs. I have been burned by Pathfinder: King maker, Pillars of eternity, and especially Pillers of Eternity Dreadfire. In fact the only two CRPGs I have been able to finish on console albiet with more crashes than any other games I have ever owned combined (which reaches into the 1000s) is Wastland 3 and Divinity OS2.

I have a decent running Rig and recently acquired a 512 steam deck so its likely I will just continue on with the PC version, but curiosity compels me to ask, did they botch WotR as well? Specifically how dose it run on the PS5? If I had to guess they likely passed it off to a random no name company with little experience in coding or porting like everyone seems to do with console CRPGs.

People report decent stability, although there's always ground to improve and fix, which is what we are actively doing at the moment. And no, the port is done in-house, it's not outsourced.

Kingmaker remained in that state because we lost our rights for it in 2019 when detaching from a parent company as an independent studio. Even before it was released on consoles. So our capabilities for the support were extremely limited.

Will there be a fix for the low res textures? It really hurts the Game imo

We'll be reviewing this once we're through the launch phase. It's intentionally lowered at launch to ensure stability.

You should reivew if it's against that NDA you have mentioned because I am about to post a link to this comment so more people could see it and I don't want to complicate matters.

We can share this information now. It's not a secret anymore.
