[2022] Am I too slow or is this how long it takes to get through this game?

So I've been playing about 10 hours and just now find myself at the end of market square...been reading everything including highlighted texts and am getting a good feel for the lore...I am also taking in the ruleset as I'm playing on daring and want to succeed my first try.

At this rate I see the game being no less than 200 hours lol...there is just way to much sh*t to learn.

My question is am I spending to much time reading all BS? Will it flesh out anyway? I usually just ignore most text in crpgs but feel like the ruleset and lore needs to be closely followed in this one.
