Yes, this is another rant about Crusade Management. I‘m on my second playthrough. First one (Azata) actually felt well in difficulty as i did not know what is strong and what is weak and generally did a few things wrong. Until i found out what is strong (spells and archers). From then i just one shotted armies with spells, caster and archer units. I felt OP af.

Now i‘m on my second playthrough (Lich) and i immediately got a caster general. That and the skeletons/zombies from Lich made pretty much every fight obsolete. I had no need to recruit any units. Fast forward a bit i have cleared every enemy army i can reach before act 4, pretty much without casualties (hospitals and fire balls hell yeah). I check my kingdom stats and see that Military is still level 2 while all others are close to finished. Well, guess what, by being good in combat and not needing to buy units i missed out on a lot of military experience. Think about it: i did exceptionally good (not self praise, i just never needed any units) but get marginal experience. You can see from this: you actually get military experience from your economy, by buying units.

Now i wanted i obviously wanted to max out my military stat as well (the quest for maxing them ends when entering act 4), so i just started buying every unit i saw (it worked, my military stat jumped from level 2 to almost 5 in like 3 weeks) with the massive pile of finance points i had hoarded from not buying units. Then came the main problem: i had so many different armies i could actually not select my major one because it did not show up on the screen anymore! There were no enemy armies left to send them to suicide. AND THERES NO f*ckING OPTION TO DISMISS UNITS. I had to wait until a demon army attacked me and send all those troops into death. Just because i did GOOD.

Seriously Owlcat, please implement the ability to dimiss units. I‘d even dismiss them for Finance Points (could be something like give them retirement, raises crusade morale or something). Or give the player less random units and more units to actually build on (more like in HOMM, which it is a ripoff of anyways). Or don‘t level up military mainly by buying units but rather by winning battles with little casualties. Or nerf casters lol.

To clarify: i could probably have sorted the units and reduce them to ~7 armies, but i definitely did not want to go through that logistic horror.

Reasonable feedback, I've passed it over to the crusade team.
