Hi there

Playing a Doryani's fist hierophant at the moment, I discovered this skill a few days ago (took quite a break from PoE this year and last year, missed out on some things that happened here and there).

I was kind of thinking of using it as a support skill for the corpse explosions with CwC and cyclone, but now I'm thinking of using it with another spell in cyclone + CwC and use this setup for most clearing as the explosion part feels quite nice (something like Cyclone + CwC + Voltaxic Burst + wave of conviction/storm call + added lightning + reduced duration or so, still toying with a few spells, lighthing conduit seems nice too).

I looked on reddit, through a few pages of google searches, with poedb, and there are some things that I still haven't figured out :

  • "Enemies killed by this damage, or shortly after, will explode" What is shortly here ? It seems to be .. very very short, I was first expecting something on the same scale as "recently" but a bit less like a second or two, but given that in a setup on CwdT the support potential of the skill felt like it was null .... Are there any other PoE interactions that use this shortly keyword ? I cannot recall any.

  • What is the radius of the explosion ? It really does not feel like the occultist explosions (and as a hierophant, I have quite a bit of inc AOE ... )

I don't have any increase / reduced duration, it would be nice if it was not affected by the "less duration" support gem since I'm eventually planning to use it after I can Vorici my chest piece to use a red gem (5 blue one green 6L Lightning coil, I'm not going to mess with chroms lol). Maybe the only way to really know is pulling /u/Mark_GGG ? Sorry if I'm not supposed to do it, you guys are GGG are probably pretty busy, it's just that I cannot find the information anywhere ...

It's 0.5 seconds and is not modified by anything. This is not meant as a mechanic you interact with or build around, it's just a way for an on-kill effect that's a major part of a skill to be a little more forgiving in the ambiguous-looking cases where the hit from the skill happens and nearly kills them right before a party member/minion/ongoing other skill hits and finishes the enemy off, where you would have got the kill if the hits had landed in the other order. Power Siphon has the same mechanic, as did the old simpler version of Infernal Blow.
