Original Post — Direct link

This post is designed as an accompaniment to my "List of all of the Cluster Jewel mods I have seen..." post which you can find here . However rather then just providing a Mod List as well as an explanation on how Cluster Sockets work I want to compile all of the information we know about Cluster Jewels into one place. This will be quite a lengthy post, so I've organized it as a "Q&A" style post. Everything posted here has been confirmed by Bex or is my own personal (educated) speculation. Links will be provided as they become necessary (please click the underlined blue text in order to be taken to relevant sources). I will be editing this as we get more information.

IMPORTANT NOTE #1: This post will assume you already have basic knowledge of the Delirium League mechanic, as I will not be explaining it in this thread. Please see the official site, the Delirium Trailer, and ZiggyD's Delirium video for more information on the mechanic.

IMPORTANT NOTE #2: Also, I am NOT a GGG Employee, or in contact with any directly. ALL information revealed here is based on official sources from GGG (such as the Delirium reveal page, or Bex's posts on reddit), or my own personal (educated) speculation. If anyone here finds anything factually wrong please report it to me with evidence of why it's wrong

EDIT 1: Added information on Cluster Jewel stacking, added a "Things We Don't Know" section, added an additional source clarifying we will be getting a list of Jewel-mods before Delirium's Launch, removed an unncessary question from an earlier draft, minor spelling/grammar changes.

What Are Cluster Jewels?

Cluster Jewels are a new type of Jewel that expands the passive tree, adding new minor nodes, notables, and keystones. They come in Small, Medium, and Large Variations You can socket them into the far outer sockets of the Passive tree, which are being changed into "Cluster Sockets" that can accept these new jewel types. They are being added as part of the 3.10 league "Delirium."

What Are Cluster Sockets And Where Can I Find Them?

The FAR outer sockets of the passive tree are being replaced by Large Cluster Sockets, these are the ONLY socket types that will accept Cluster Jewels. Large and Medium Cluster Jewels can also add Medium and Small Cluster Sockets respectively. As for what Jewel types each Cluster Socket accepts, please refer to this list, which is based on this reddit post by Bex:

Large Cluster Socket: Any Jewel in the game.

Medium Cluster Socket: All jewels in the game EXCEPT Large Cluster Jewels

Small Cluster Socket: All jewels in the game EXCEPT Large and Medium Cluster Jewels

How Can I Obtain Cluster Jewels?

Cluster Jewels can drop from any monster affected by the Delirium Fog. They can (in theory) start dropping as early as Act 1 based on this post by Bex.

How Rare Are Cluster Jewels?

Based on what Bex has said they should be fairly accessible. What this means in terms of actual drop-rates is unknown.

What Is The Difference Between Large, Medium, And Small Cluster Jewels?

The only real difference so far seems to be the number of passives the jewel provides, as well as if the Jewel can add Cluster Sockets to your tree, and finally what size of Cluster Socket is needed in order to socket the Jewel (discussed above).

What Is The White And Blue Text On The Cluster Jewel?

White Text: Seen at the top of the Jewel, these are the Enchants the Jewel has. The most important one here is the line that reads "Adds x Small Passive Skills," where X seem to be how many "Small Node/Travel Nodes" are added when the Jewel is Socketed. All Cluster Jewels also seem to be guaranteed to have one line which modifies the Travel Nodes the Jewel adds. These stats CANNOT be modified via ANY currency, based on this post by Bex, as they are Enchants, not implicits. So not even Vaal Orbs can change them. The Small Node modifier also impacts what Explicits the Jewel can roll (more on this in the next section).

Blue Text: These are the remaining lines on the Jewel, what I am referring as "Explicit" stats. All of these stats are modifiable via currency, such as Chaos, Alteration, Scour, or Chance Orbs. These can further Modify the Small Passives, add Notables, add Keystones, or add Cluster Sockets. The Explicits a Cluster Jewel is capable of rolling are also based on the Small-Node modifying Enchant the Jewel has based on this post, though we aren't sure how exactly the Enchant affects it.

How Many Sockets Can A Cluster Jewel Have?

As discussed before, the Cluster Jewel sizes impact what Cluster Sockets the Jewels can have, but the number of Sockets appeared to be entirely based on Explicits. The most I have personally seen, apart from the Unique Large Cluster Jewel "Voices", is 2 in the official trailer and ZiggyD's video, which you can view at this timestamp. Due to the existence of "Voices" I'm assuming Large Cluster Jewels can have a maximum of 2 additional Sockets, while Medium Cluster Jewels can have a maximum of 1 additional Socket. That is of course speculation, and I have nothing to confirm it.

How Many Notables Can A Cluster Jewel Have?

This is a true unknown, and is likely based on how many mod-slots Cluster Jewels have (either the standard 4 for most Jewels, or a full set of 6). The most I've seen on one Medium or Large Cluster Jewel is 2, while I've never seen a Small Cluster Jewel with more then 1 Notable.

Do Passives Added Via Cluster Jewels Cost Passive Points?

Yes, unquestionably yes. Multiple posts from Bex have confirmed this, notably this one.

Do Passives Added Via Cluster Jewels Cost Respec Points To Refund?

Only Jewel Sockets and Keystones cost Respec Points, the rest are freely refundable. No new source of Regret Orbs or Respec Points are being added. All based on this post, which ALSO confirms we are NOT getting more Passive Points to spend on Cluster Jewels.

Are Cluster Jewel Notables Annointable?

No, based on this post.

Can Cluster Jewel Notables Stack (Unlike Regular Passive Tree Notables)?

Yes they actually can, based on this post, though based on what I know all the notables you want to stack need to be on different jewels, which will probably have quite a large opportunity cost.

How Do Radius Jewels (Timeless Jewels, Threshold Jewels, Inspired Learning, Etc...) Interact With Cluster Jewel Nodes?

They ignore them entirely, as in Timeless Jewels will NOT change Cluster Jewel Notables, and etc... As Bex said in this post, "We want Delirium to kill Exiles, not our Programmers."

What Is A List Of All Roll-Able Cluster Jewel Mods?

Bex confirmed in this post that they will be revealing a full list sometime in the future (edit, sometime before league launch based on this post, when exactly we don't know however). For a temporary list (that is being updated as more nodes are revealed), please view the "List of all Cluster Jewel Mods I have seen..." post linked at the top of this thread.

Now, onto some extra stuff, things we DON'T know about Cluster Jewels that are important:

1: Can ALL Cluster Jewel Sizes Have EACH Enchant/Notable/Small-Node Mod? This is the biggest and most important thing we don't know.

2: Do The Enchants On A Cluster Jewel Enable A Notable To Be Rolled, Or Enhance The Chance Of Specific Notables Being Rolled? Another fairly large bit of information we don't know that's quite important.

And that's all the questions I'm adding for now. If anyone has any questions I will add them to this post if I can find answers for them. Also looking for feedback on how to possibly better organize all of this, or wording changes to make it easier to understand. TY for reading (it means a lot to me), and I hope this helps people.

It's worth clarifying that the size of the cluster jewel restricts the enchantments that it can have.
