The basic information shared is simply this API: https://www.pathofexile.com/api/profile
If you view it while logged in you'll see the same information as what poemap.live will see. This information is available to the specified 3rd party tool even if everything else is set to private on your account (hence the explicit authorization screen).
You can remove access at any time using this link which will immediately cut the connection.
