That they feel the need of outlining those new mods in the previews hopefully makes GGG realize they should consider redesigning these tooltips before launch. There was a pretty great mock-up here recently.

I think you already mentioned that you are looking into solutions, right? I suppose you will figure something out then. Would be great to have it at launch but I guess it's not of critical priority.
It should be ready for launch. Here's the quote from FAQ 2.
Will Alternate Quality Gems have labels that indicate which attributes are different? Yes, there's a line on the gem's tooltip that says "Alternate Quality" and you'll be able to view the Alternate Quality stats separately if you hold alt.
Bex, do these gems, replica uniques and other league specific rewards only from GRAND heists and not from regular heists?
That's correct.
Thanks, Bex! Will we get to see the alternate quality versions of the new (and reworked) skills before release too?
I suspect we'll reveal all the Alternate Quality gems before Heist's launch.

Can you say anything about rarity of these? Since some of them have so much potential, it would be nice to know if we can plan on building around them early. Will we be seeing multiple gems per grand heist or will they be like "eh maybe 1 if you're lucky"?
You can see what reward rooms are available from your Grand Heist when you reveal the Blueprint so if you're specifically targeting Alternate Quality Gems you could potentially trade for those Blueprints to get even more of them. As for how each gem is weighted, I can't really speak to that.
I don't envy the person that has to create that news post. ^^
I wonder if the forum can even handle so many item links in a single post or if it has to be split up somehow. Hmmmm
I don't think we'll do it in the same format as the 20/20 gems post. More likely a table.
Do regular heists have any heist specific rewards outside of the artifacts you sell for markers? They are just a stepping stone to work towards upgrading your rogues and getting intel/markers for grand heists?
They’re mostly a stepping stone to Grand Heists like you so but you can get regular Path of Exile items in them and use Trinkets to better target the rewards you want.
It probably wouldn't because of the precedent with Iron Reflexes and Armor & Evasion nodes.
Basically it doesn't check your attack speed and cast speed values separately and add them together. It checks all applicable mods and adds them together for your attack speed. This just makes cast speed mods part of the pool of mods that applies to attack speed, but "Attack and Cast Speed" is still 1 mod with a value of 2% so it would only be applied once and count as 2%.
Example:
You have:
- 50% increased attack speed
- 50% increased attack & cast speed
- 50% increased cast speed
To check attack speed it takes all attack speed mods and adds them together. You have 2 applicable mods that add up to 100%.
If you make increases and reductions to cast speed apply to attack speed, you now have 3 mods that add up to 150%, not 4 mods that add to 200%. The attack & cast speed mod is still 1 mod with a value of 50%.
This is correct. A modifier that affects "Attack and Cast Speed" already applies to attack speed. So telling that modifier to apply to attack speed does nothing new.
