NeverSink's itemfilter - version 7.3.0 - Blight Update!

Hey, guys! This update, there was no stream, since my internet was basically non-existent and I'm working via hotspot right now. That's a shame, but the update is live anyway! It has a TON of changes (check the changelog below). Some of these will get a bit more refinement over the next updates, but overall I think it's a step into a good direction.

www.FilterBlade.xyz was also updated and received a few new features, such as: ItsYoji soundpack, Instrumental Sound Pack by Stefan G., New customizer toolbars. There's a chance that some of your changes on filterblade will be invalidated. This usually happens if you changed endgame crafting entries, atlas bases or harbinger currency.

I'm hell-a-excited for blight. I think this league might be more fun than a lot of people might think. I hope I get to play... since you know... internet.

PS: In case you're wondering, what fillter I'll be leveling with, check my profile http://filterblade.xyz/Profile?name=NeverSink

CHANGELOG:

  • Due to the changes to POE over the last patches, several different types of items that were previously exlusuive to certain encounters, now can drop everywhere. To keep the screen clean and to preserve a certain amount of simplicity, I've begun merging colors and rules. This is an ongoing process and will continue happening overt he next patches. Several item types have their appearance changed.

  • Completely reworked the System behind crafting, atlas and special bases. They're now combined into a special section that features 86/84/rest level highlight. The section is duplicated for rare and non-rare variants and has new apperances

  • Removed several old obsolete entries

  • Added support for blighted maps

  • Added support for oils

  • Added support for the new basetypes (currently in the same tier as opal ring and steel ring, until we know more)

  • Retiered rares. T1 rares have less focus on attack build and more focus on caster equipment, different boots types (as those are usually fairly profitable early on) and some other minor changes

  • Did further work to merge several appearance types.

  • Uber-Plus strict now hides 6Sockets, cheap Breach and cheap legion splinters.

  • Templar Legion splinters have been moved a tier up

  • Increased the threshhold price for T1 fossils

  • Completely retiered uniques. The retiering is "considering" a new "early league mode". Feedback welcome

  • "Regal Orb" "Vaal Orb" "Orb of Regret" have been moved to the alchemy tier

  • Vial of Transcendence has been moved down a tier

  • Changed chancing bases and added leather belt back to the chancing bases

  • Retiered divination cards, unique maps, shaper/elder items, scarabs, prophecies... [etc]

  • Changed divination card T2 and T3 appearance

  • Changed shaper/elder item appearance

  • Changed scarab appearance

  • Harbinger currency now has the same apperance as normal currency and is merged into the normal currency tierlist

  • "Tyrannical/Merciless/Dictator" shields/gloves will no longer be falsely matched by identified items sections

  • Improved the general structure of the filter

Filter and Styleversions

Strictness-es are filter configurations the affect how much/little a filter shows. The general rule is that: as you clear faster, you want to pick up less, because in the time you'd take care of a higher quantity of items, you can kill more monsters and get a higher chance at rare loot. You can start with Regular/Semi-Strict first (great for new players and leagues) and simply up the strictness from the option menu, once you feel like you want to see less.

Nr Name Short Description
0 Soft Shows too much. Includes low crafting bases, magic jewellery in the endgame. Not recommended for regular gameplay.
1 Regular Shows a lot. Recommended for beginners, new leagues and slow-clearing gameplay. Shows all rares. Good for chaos recipes.
2 Semi-Strict Healthy balance. Great for new leagues and beginners and medium-speed endgame gameplay. Hides the worst rares. Good for chaos recipes.
3 Strict Hides bad-base rares and scrolls. Universal and recommended endgame strictness. Hides random gems (hold alt in the first zone if you level with it). Bad for chaos recipes.
4 Very Strict Hides most rares, scrolls, augments, armourers. Good for the endgame and for speed-farming.
5 Uber Strict Hides all low currencies and rares. Great for quantity-farmers.
6 Uber+ Strict Shows too little. Sterile screen. Hides all kind of stuff, including mediocre divination cards, all kind of crafting material etc. Recommended for speed-clearing quantity-parties or as a base for further editing. Not recommended for regular gameplay.

Styles have no effect on how strict the filter is, but change the visual and audio configuration. Find one that pleases your eye most or make your own on www.filterblade.xyz

Style Description
Default The normal style. It uses a wide variety of colors and shadings to inform users about the drop type, value and properties.
Slick A less colorful version of the normal style.
Gaia (full restyle) Gaia is a nature-inspired style. It uses less colors, but is still very cheerful.
Vaal (full restyle) A brick, corruption, blood and gore styled filter.
Crimson (full restyle) Dark red hues, with some blues and purples in there. Similar to the Vaal filter, but different.
Velvet (full restyle) Soft green, blue, grey and pink hues, this filter is inspired by oceanic and royal colorsets.
Blue Minor changes. Changes the color of rares to blue.
Purple Minor changes. Changes the color of rares to purple.
Azurite A new (experimental style) - it's like a DOUBLE purple/cyan style!
CustomSounds Special style. The visuals are based of default, but the sounds are different and are provided in mp3 files. You have to copy the mp3 files too for the filter to work. You can also replace the sounds with your own mp3's to create your own soundset.

Hey, /u/NeverSinkDev, /u/Tobnac, /u/Xeverous...

So, uh, we were planning a small update to Item Filters soon, but apparently a few changes actually slipped into the 3.8.0 release. Hence they were not patchnoted.

For one, the parser is now more strict about formatting. So as you can see in this very thread, some people are now getting new errors, e.g. if they have a number after a custom sound file path. Previously, that number was silently ignored; now, it raises a formatting error.

Filters also no longer accept negative numbers for anything, since it doesn't make sense for any of the rules atm.

Another change is that comments (marked with "#") should now work better. Previously they could cause errors in certain places because they were incorrectly interpreted as search strings/values etc. Now, they should work everywhere. If you find somewhere that comments still don't work, let me know.

I also fixed the "Your Item Filter is out of date" error message appearing too often. It's only supposed to show if the filter fails to load the very first time the game tries and the filter hasn't updated since then.

The main feature that has not yet been deployed, but hopefully will be soon, is exact string matching for mods/base types/prophecies. If you have any other feature requests (or find any bugs), let me know.

I have a request! Might fit under base types, but I want to be able to put a custom sound on every quest item. Like, individually. I can the lab items (silver key, portal shredder, etc), stone of passage, flashpowder keg, but I can't do quest items, only as a group.

I find it super fun to have custom sounds on everything, so I have over 800 right now but could use some extra ones while I'm leveling. Trying to make a rule for quest items by name now basically breaks it and makes it go to true default.

I think the planned "exact matching" feature will do what you want.

Feels good, I have a list of filter bugs and inconsistencies and looks like I will need to retest everything of it again.

This is great news, multiple filter generation tools can now use comment hits for better customization.

Yeah I actually went through your list and fixed most of it.
