[2019] What happened to Spell Focus?

Added a new Intelligence Support Gem - Intensify Support: Supported skills have less Area of Effect but deal more Area damage per Intensity. Supported skills gain Intensity when used, and lose Intensity while moving or upon teleporting.

Intensify just seems straight up worse than the Spell Focus teaser? It doesn't even mention anything about increasing area, and spell focus changed it's behavior based on repeated casts rather than movement.
