The lightning feels too ineffective for its cost. Easily gimpped by most things. Even when hitting an MBT in the rear, it fails to kill it first. Also it makes the sting of pulling a skyguard only for the air to run away and not come back, less painful.

Although if I were to be totally honest, none of these are the reason I want the cost reduced. It is that lower cost means more lightnings, which means more lightnings for me to kill.

What are your guy's position on this?

I made a post about the 1v1 training room, and messaged a dev and got a response; so there is hope.

But I don't know if it is still on their radar as a planned future addition for the sanctuary. I know there is a lot of things they plan to add to the sanctuary first, so it will be late on the list, if it is on the list at all.

Also there is a whole lot of chaos going on right now with organizing events, outfit wars, figuring on what on earth is going on with the servers, and several bugs; so RPG has their hands full for right now.

/u/jgolenbo Do you happen to know if there is any plans to add a 1v1 training room to the santuary? Or a 1v1 training koltyr for pilots (could be added to the sanctuary as a terminal you go to)?

Broadly speaking, there are a lot of plans for ideas like this in Sanctuary (and Koltyr). Some of it were still scoping out, so I can’t share dates (yet), but you’ll see additions with pretty much every monthly or major update going forward.

I will say OW and the events we’re supporting have very little impact on our development roadmap; same goes with our NetEng team working on server optimization. The design team working on future content are separate from those things and their work continues uninterrupted (despite some understandable hurdles related to the current work-from-home restrictions).
