This month will also feature events celebrating the Sinnoh region and Valentine’s Day, as well as entirely new kinds of events that we’re testing. There’s much to look forward to during this season of love.

Time to do some research, Trainers! To celebrate Lunar New Year, Minccino, the Chinchilla Pokémon, is available to encounter after completing certain Field Research tasks.

Remember, Trainers: the special Community Day voting research tasks will be the only research tasks that count on voting day.

🚨 #PokemonGOCommunityDay voting day has begun in some regions around the world! 🚨

Remember, you will have all of February 1 to vote.

Trainers, to ensure stability as we roll out some fixes, access to GO Battle League will be closed for 1-3 hours, starting now. Matches already in progress will not be affected by this, but you won’t be able to start new matches until GO Battle League is reopened.
