I noticed that the community universaly agrees that Yadakk is the worst tribe after the road price change. The problem with balancing techs is that it affects every tribe, so by nerfing bardur ridder/roads yadakk ended up taking a killing blow. The solution to balancing tribes is often to balance their biomes, so that got me thinking: What if... Yadakk had natural road tiles on their biomes.

Lets say that yadakk would have a ratio of about 2 road tiles put at random per one village. These road tiles ussually wouldn't connect to anything (much like the one i placed on a screenshot), which means that unless you connect them you wont get any boost from them. That means that no other tribe could use them early, while it would save a lot of stars for yadakk and would serve them as speedboosts durring an early exploration. Connecting 2 cities would still cost 6 stars on average instead of 9 bringing yadakk where they used to be before the changes.

I have no idea who is telling you that the Yadakk is the worst tribe.

I had another question: why not adjust the tech costs and such nerfs on a per-tribe basis? For example, increasing the costs of roads for tribes that need balancing, like Bardur, but keeping it the same for those who are balanced, like Yadakk? As people are saying, Yadakk took quite a blow.

The issue wasn't just Bardur, but Roads, themselves.

We plan to adjust Yadakk in non-road-rated ways.
