Glaz or Dokka would be a better alternative to start with so you can work on your aim. Since Kali's sniper is a bolt-action, you really need to hit your shots. If you're really wanting to "get gud" with her rifle, hop into a T-Hunt and work on your aim with her until you're comfortable enough to run her in a real game.
