Regarding the lag can we ask you for some more information please? Are you experiencing dropped frames, stuttering or by lag do you mean ping spikes and input lag as a result?

In terms of the microphone issues there's a few things we can suggest to try in order:

1. Please check your in game audio settings and ensure that the voice chat record threshold slider isn't being set too high, we would recommend setting it to around 10-15. If this slider is set too high it leads to a situation where you can hear other players but they may not be able to hear you as the higher this slider is the louder it is you need to speak to be audible.

2. If you're unable to both hear and speak to others it may be as a result of your account privacy settings. If this sounds like what's happening first log in to your Ubisoft account here[account.ubisoft.com]. Once logged in go to privacy center > social preferences and ensure that the text and voice chat option is set to "everyone". If it is already set to everyone please toggle to something else, save, then toggle back to everyone and save again.
