Hi all, first off let me say iv been back and forth trying to figure this out, from both steam support and ubisoft support to in the end get no where, so any help here would be great, so im from South Africa and iv been wanting to buy Rainbow six siege for a good while on steam, but for some reason it is region locked on steam, only siege, no other ubisoft game as far as i know is region locked except siege, so i ask what is the reason behind it being region locked ? will it ever be unlocked ?

Unfortunately it's still not possible to purchase it through Steam at the moment.

You can through purchase the game through Uplay.

An authentication error is not indicative of a region lock, the error you are receiving is due to the game being active on the wrong account.

If you contact our Support Team they can look into this further for you.

Hey homtes_,

The issue is that you have bought it on Steam, but linked it to the wrong account.

So you need to login to the account that you originally linked it to.
