I know it's kind of expected in the journey of a Solo-Qer, but it still baffles me.

If people don't want to talk, or play not as seriously, there's Unranked & Quick Play (Casual).

I feel like people are nervous about playing with potentially toxic players or folks with loud music, or the headaches associated with some of the folks who have other stuff going on. Personally, when it comes to ranked,, and team based games in general call outs are incredibly important, so your frustrations here are totally valid.
