[2021] linked accounts

So I have a question. So I have played siege on PS for about 2 years and have a lot of skins and elites on my ps account. I now play on pc for the last 5 months but the same uplay account connected to both. So when I buy the season pass on my PC I get it on my PS. So my question is why cant the skins/elites be connected to the account like the season pass? I don't want to rebuy all my skins and elites. Its just a thought since a lot of people on PC started on a console and have days and days of grinding to get skins/elites
