I'm guessing this is because Iana has one on her version of the gun? The explanation that was given to me, is that the Airjab attachment on Nomad's AK makes it impossible to use grips efficiently. If you look at the way she holds her gun with the Airjab enabled, it would make hard to include an additional grip on the weapon.

No, the IANA and Nomad share the ARX, not the AK74. The AK74 is unique to Nomad...and I must say it is a pitiful weapon. As for the ARX, I've found that using a Holo with a muzzle brake makes it fairly viable.

AH, you are correct. My apologies, yesterday was a long day. The ARX is definitely a lot harder to control on Nomad than it is on Iana. Although I was referring to the wrong gun, I still think the reasoning applies here as well.
