Reddit just found out that Jackal is getting a rework and I have one personal issue with this, and its fundamentally why Jackal is not balanced.........
ONLY HE SHOULD SEE THE PING and must have his VISOR ON AT ALL TIMES TO VIEW THE LIVE UPDATE.
The number of pings was not the issue, it was getting 5 man gang banged because everyone could see the ping in a live update fashion. make it so that he cannot share the ping to his teammates and reinforce the idea of what 'jackal is' he is a predator 'he' being the key word here. he should be the one to hunt the roamers and give callout information for his team, not give him a 'global ping' when he isnt even part of the global operator release (Lion/Finka)
