Hey guys,
So today I was watching the Playoff Day 2 match - NA, EG vs SSG. If you have seen this, or want to, take a look at round 3. EG are in basement, but roaming on 2Floor. I've seen this being done by multiple teams, but it doesn't make sense. SSG just rushed in, planted defuser, held angles and crushed EG. Now my question is:
Why are Pro League teams always covering each floor? Yeah sometimes it makes sense, to hold up time. But when you defend basement, and you hold 2nd Floor? Isn't it way more efficient in that case to just do a rush to basement?

I have a bit mixed feelings about it

I believe it's a counter to the Attackers who are sent to flush out roamers. If you're deep roaming and 1-2 are sent to flush you out, those are 2 potentially game-changing picks if you can kill them, because not only does it dwindle the enemy team, it now causes them to send MORE people up to get you. I've only just begun to watch PL on a normal basis, but those teams are extremely thorough when it comes to clearing all floors to make sure they have complete map control before pushing down to site. This prevents late-round flanks and allows the Attackers to push down without worrying. I know for me personally, I like to deep roam when defending that site. I'll be all the way in Gym or Cash/Servers and wait for a push from either Bottom Main or Oil/Blue so I can flank, so it's a semi-normal play-style on that map.

Keep in mind that I'm nowhere near PL level whatsoever.
