[2019] Why is the matchmaking so broken sometimes?

Hi Titonix. Thanks for sharing your experience. Was this in Casual or an actual Ranked game? For Casual, the game has a different MMR system for it than Ranked. If it was Ranked, this seems a bit of a strange gap. As the others have mentioned, it was possible someone on your team was most likely high silver/low gold and it could have skewed the average MMR slightly.

especially when its a 5 stack that screams ezzzzzzz omg so ezz uninstall the whole time.

Do not forget to report these players for abusive chat! You can either do that in-game or through our support portal. Toxic behavior is unacceptable and no one should be subject to it.
