It depends on how its implemented. If the match cancels because not everyone has connected, then sure, that would help the problem with some people starting with only half their team when the match starts. But if it cancels because someone leaves the match, then it would be abused because people will just leave intentionally to troll, to avoid facing certain people, etc.
This is why the feature is going to be heavily tested on the TTS before coming to the live build, so I strongly encourage you and your friends to hop on when it's live and let us know what your experience with Match Cancellation is like.
