[2019] When will casual matchmaking be balanced and fair?

Thank you for sharing your Quick Match experience with us. The mode actually contains its own separate MMR system outside of rank, so even though their rank is higher than yours, it's likely their Quick Match (Casual) MMR is close to yours. I've noticed players who are rocking a Plat rank pretty much only play Ranked, which would explain why their Quick Match MMR is so close to yours.

I understand how frustrating it can be to go up against an insanely good player or team in Casual. Things like that can make a player feel they're worst than what they actually are, and could possibly lead to them quitting the game altogether based on those kinds of experiences, which is not something our team wants.

Are you saying that every Quick Match game you play has a team full of Plats? This is something that happens more towards the end of a season because Ranked players don't want to lose MMR or their placement in Plat. Although not all are visible to players aside from Ranked, I am continually informed that Newcomer, Quick Match, and Ranked all have MMR systems that are separate. The one similarity all of them have is that you're only matched up with players who are within 1,000 MMR of whichever game mode you're playing.

I'll be adding this thread to my report to the devs at the end of the week. Even though Quick Match is meant for all players and is supposed to not be taken as seriously as Ranked, I do understand the frustration when you're placed up against high Plats or Diamond players. Not necessarily. If you hop into a Quick Match (Casual) when the season winds down, it's full of NOTHING but high ranked players. It's something I've experienced personally and seen numerous players in the community bring up towards the end of any given season.
